I would rather live with an overabundance of bovine fecal matter than creeping socialism … you can at least step around pasture patties and given time they go away without intervention … exactly unlike progressivism.

The Left’s speciality is backending entitlements on spending than spending on good arguments and constitutional governance. It is an ideology without honor.

As for Republicans, who occasionally resist but do not roll back, we can blame Mr No Repeal Eisenhower for that. He set the tone for the Quislings they’ve become. He could have saved us from the ruin that FDR’s cancers will eventually cause (said cancers have already metastasized). Instead he rubber stamped said high handed lawlessness.

A prog pastor once said that his job was to “comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comforted”. This is how the Dems. especially the socialist thought police of the party see government’s role. Socialists see the world as a dark place where the masses are held down by a handful of oligarchs who are dedicated to producing misery as much as personal wealth. They also harbor a lot of fantasies of utter equality where everyone is prosperous, yet no one has to work hard. They have such notions because socialists by and large, are lazy, and unproductive, but imagine themselves contributing members of society.

If you ever had a group-work project in school, you may remember that one person did 80% of the work, one did 20% and two did nothing but make excuses. All got the same credit. If you look at very left leaning states like California- 20% pay 85% of the taxes, 40% pay 15% of the taxes, and 40% contribute nothing-nada, the empty set. It is in the last group that you find socialism alive and well. There are exceptions, Silicon Valley and Silicone Hills (Hollywood) elites who are so rich nothing will touch them anyway-but the average socialist is a self pitying bum.

Greed in America didn’t start in the 1980’s under Reagan, you dont think greed existed in the 1950’s during the golden age, or the roaring 20’s, 1800’s

And regulations today are a joke, if you cant see that regulation agencies today are competing against your courts and accountable to no one, then I think its no wonder people are in love with socialism , as they dont know any better.

ask yourself this question, which one exercises more influence on public polices?

They are not elected, or held accountable like elected officials, you have courts supervising the agencies, their policy making and governing, so who is really running your country?

Immigration is handled by the department of injustice

The internet is regulated by the FCC

Wall Street supposedly is regulated by the SEC and you know the wonderful job their doing

Trucking industry by the federal motor carrier safety administration

And now you have the US Department of agriculture regulating how Pizza is made.

You don’t see a problem here?

But you want more regulations right?

Which is why candidates like Sanders promote social democracy, which leaves capitalism in tact, properly regulated, and doesn’t require government control of the means of production. It’s quite different than true socialism…

Define “takeover of means of production” please.
Is regulating every aspect of the means of production per some ignorant bureaucrat a socialist concept? Is taxing the majority of wealth created by business a socialist concept? Is forcibly (at the muzzle of a gun) providing (buying votes) taxpayer funded paid 24 month maternity/paternity leave a socialist concept? Yes they are.
Socialism has never functioned for the good of the citizens, regardless of what adjective is added to the political term.

You see democratic socialists believes that the committees can run society as a collective better than the workers under marx or state communism.

His own website for the Democratic socialists of America tells you upfront , they cannot eliminate private enterprise and companies in the short term

Anybody with an IQ over 80 knows their long term is taking over private business and either giving it to the unions or committee of workers to run the enterprise and we know that is a dumb idea

All we have to do is look at Uganda in the 70’s when that thug Amin took over, he kicked out all the Indian Business people and gave their businesses to Ugandan workers to run and guess what happened to their economy?

IT TANKED

That is what will happen under Sanders Democratic socialism , workers running the businesses, Workers cant even balance their own checking account , what makes the left think they can run successful businesses
