Tons of ashes in an underground building that had the roof sticking out about 4ā with chutes going down for ash disposal. Clothes. Medical experiment writings. . . First off the Nuremberg trials wre not trials - they were industrial tribunals with a much lower standard of proof required. Iām also not claiming that the Germans didnāt commit any atrocities, just that it wasnāt systemic or mandated. Both sides were indeed guilty of war crimes

2nd they had first hand witness testimony from guards, commanders, senior commanders, Hiterās staff not to mention the surviving victims and actual journals and ledges kept in the camps.
Of course Buchenwald was both a death camp and a work camp.
They starved, let the prisoners die of disease and exhaustion along with starvation then tossed them into mass graves and/or ran them through the ovens to destroy the flesh and ground the bones for fertilizer/minerals.
They also ran some of the most hideous and cruel medical and physiological/psychiatric experiments of the entire war there on the same scale as the Japanese were running in China and on POWās from Korea, and the Allied countries. Most of those atrocities committed by Unit 731 were actually covered up for many years following the war because we so badly needed Japan to recover and become an ally.
