Walmart to Stop Selling Ammunition for Assault-Style Weapons - WSJ

It’s low hanging fruit easy to pick on assault style weapon . Especially when most of the talking heads are clueless about what they are talking about .

A well placed shot from Daisy Pump BB Gun can kill a man.

The nature of business is to make a profit but when the guys holding the prices down are out of the game, the “Profit” then puts gun owners at a disadvantage when the smaller guys are charging more.

So, for that reason, I’m going to boycott Walmart and make them pay for selling out the Second Amendment.

Focus is the operative word. The left focuses on the weapons EXCLUSIVELY related to illegal use of firearms. They push the idea that making the weapons illegal will solve the problem of gun violence.

This false and ridiculous argument has been refuted by reality in areas…countries, states, cities, businesses, campuses, and other areas where possession has been restricted by law.

CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY LAWS! This patently obvious fact is irrelevant to the liberal numbnuts that think just because they make something illegal, all people will observe the law and refrain from using the illegal methods.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

They have these stupid laws that criminals do not obey, yet they come to the defense of the criminals when they are caught breaking the law. They release criminals based on technicalities in the legal system even when the criminal is OBVIOUSLY GUILTY and should be removed from the public.

What we need is harsher punishments, unpleasant incarcerations, work camps, death penalties CARRIED OUT. We are collectively STUPID to think that hardened criminals will change into choir boys just because we want them to do so.

Not very effectively or consistently.

Walmart can sell ammo for less than small mom and pop shops can buy it.

How do you “not very effectively” kill a man? The sucker is either dead or not dead. Making him dead is about as far as you can go.

Being dead is like being pregnant…you can’t be just a little bit dead.

My point was that it doesn’t take armor piercing or elephant loads to kill human.

Because of the extreme limitations on a BB gun’s effectiveness.

You’re pretty well limited to a contact shot and it would have to be in the perfect location.

I have a friend with an at chambered for 22long rifles
Loves the accuracy for shooting squirrels out of the fruit trees

You hit it 100%

People shooting other people could care less about laws and will kill regardless of the law

A shame the idiots on the left do not focus on mental health

We have the death penalty however the left has so many road blocks many on death row eventually are given life sentences or die waiting. Liberal justice at work

Sometimes I believe you would argue with a rock. What you say here is true, but nitpicking. It does not change the truth of my original statement that a well placed shot from a Daisy Pump BB Gun could kill a man. I didn’t say that a BB Gun was anywhere near a suitable defensive weapon.

That little pump 10 times is close to the velocity of a 22

I used to pump mine so many times I could hardly compress the last one to lock in.

We could cut our violent crime rates, including homicides by over half by simply aggressively going after the gangs and drug traffickers.

In our most violent cities they are responsible for 70-over 90% of all violent crime.

Aggressively enforce existing laws including getting the mentally ill who are dangerous declared so in court and committed would take care of the majority of mass shootings.

We don’t have a gun problem, we have a cultural/societal problem and a bigger problem with both schools and law enforcement failing to address known problems, get them declared ineligible and either committed or incarcerated where they belong.

Last I checked fewer than 20 states were fully compliant in reporting ineligible people to NICS which is abysmal.

What I said remains true, A BB gun is neither an effective nor consistent choice because again it takes nearly a perfectly placed shot at contact or near contact distance to be fatal.

Near .22 velocity but no where near the energy because of the much lighter projectile, shape and type of projectile.

I have a Gamo 1330 that is a deadly squirrel killer to about 30 yards but beyond that just doesnt’ have the energy or penetrating capability to be very effective even on something as small as a squirrel.

For Feral Cat’s it’s limited to about 20yds.

Don’t advertise your density. I never proposed the Daisy Pump BB Gun as a viable choice of defensive weapons.

But since you simply must have the last word, I expect another asinine comment from you regarding this.

Since Walmart is no longer in the game, the mom and pop stores won’t have that excuse. A while back, I went to the local gun store here and asked for best 9mm round they had for self defense. They sold me Federal HST.

I got online a few days later and found the same ammunition for HALF what I paid the local gun store. Now, if they want people to shoot and keep the business afloat, they are going to have to reduce their prices OR we’re going to lose potential shooters - which is what the left wants.

Blame the underwriters & actuaries.

You’re half way there, so that’s a start. Mass shooters come in two varieties: political jihadist and usually white males 18 to early 30s (for lack of a technical description a mass shooting for purposes of this post is the Columbine, Sandy Hook, El Paso, Parkland, etc. variety.)

There are 16 markers that determine the probability of a person committing a violent act in their life times. If you take any 8 on that list and add SSRIs (psychotropic drugs), you’ve created someone that WILL commit a violent act during their lifetime.

IF counties had a running database of students (and they’re already identified by their Socialist Surveillance Number (better known as a “Social Security Number,” and once that student hit 3 of those markers, specially trained workers sprung into action, doing a CIVIL INTERVENTION, finding the problem and dealing with it right then and there, it would eliminate the mass shootings I’m discussing.

Yes, when it comes to the shootings, gang violence and related shootings, we need to be more vigilant. You really need to see this - and it IS worth your time if you really care about the issue:
