Russian comedians Vovan and Lexus prank Polish Foreign Minister.

Did he really say this?

“Polish lawmaker Grzegorz Braun tells US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to leave Poland.

“We don’t want you here. We don’t want the Polish people paying or dying for your wars.”

The Poles saw what the Joo neocons did to Iraq and Afghanistan. It is impossible to trust the neocons who will simply withdraw the troops and make them disappear when things become untenable. (And leave the devastation behind.)

More EU leaders joining ‘peace camp’ – Orban

The bloc’s members are starting to realize that the Ukraine conflict is not “their war,” the Hungarian PM has said.

A growing number of EU countries are edging towards abandoning their “pro-war” attitudes and are seeking a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.

Speaking to the national Kossuth Radio station on Friday, Orban claimed that while the bloc had been slow to catch up with the “normal-minded part of the world,” there are now indications that EU states are realizing that the Ukraine conflict is not “their war” and are starting to seek ways to end it.

His comments come after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for a renewed peace effort earlier this week, stating that Russia must be involved in the next peace talks on the conflict.

Scholz has also reportedly been busy drafting his own Ukraine peace plan along the lines of the failed 2014 Minsk agreements – a series of measures designed to rein in hostilities in Donbass and reconcile the warring parties.

“It is becoming clear from more and more [EU] countries that they would like to join the peace camp. Here, for example, is the German chancellor, who has just said things for which he would have been flayed in the German media three weeks ago. So the situation is changing,” Orban stated.

He argued that the ‘peace mission’ he embarked upon in the summer, which aimed to draw key players in the conflict to the negotiation table, had caused fellow EU members to rethink their positions.

“We started this idea, because we stirred up a huge debate in Europe… Without the peace mission, such a debate would not have started and everyone would still only talk war,” Orban stressed. He accused the entire bloc of being pro-war for too long, and reiterated his call for negotiations.

Orban noted that he has several more “unexpected initiatives” within the framework of his ‘peace mission’ to accelerate the process. Unlike many EU nations, Hungary has long called for a diplomatic resolution of the conflict, rather than supplying Kiev with weapons.

The last negotiations between Russia and Ukraine broke down in the spring of 2022, despite the sides pre-approving a draft peace treaty. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the West “ordered” Kiev to drop the treaty due to its wish “to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.”

Moscow has often expressed its eagerness to end the conflict diplomatically, but warned that it will not agree to peace on Ukraine’s terms, which include Russia ceding territory claimed by Kiev.

Like Alexander Mercouris pointed out, peace negotiations don’t mean an end to armed conflicts. In Vietnam, battles continued while the peace conference in Paris continued for months and months.

I hope Ukraine will not last long.

What kind of person delights in war and human suffering? Especially the ones in power who can make such decisions?

People who believe in God?

…or subscribe to any established “religion” as God’s word?

I was raised in the Episcopal church. While it is based in/on the gospels, I personally have no use for the pre-planned services and recital of prayers, and responces of any of the various factions of religion. I read my Bible and take what I can understand… and do some research on what I can’t, on my own, without any “influence” from the minister/priest/rector or whatever you wish to call them, or other members of the parish.

I have always found worshiping God in a manner of pre-conceived prayers, responces and songs, standing, sitting and kneeling for the various “parts” of the service to be… insincere. My mother and I had some good conversations about my feelings on “organised religion” as I got older.

Maybe I’m wrong in how I feel about it, but I feel that it’s better to be sincere in your prayers and personal conversations with God/Jesus than it is to go to church and just go through the motions.

There is an interesting Hebrew word in the Old Testament: “cavod” which is translated as “glory.”
However, it does not make sense if you read passages like “glory of Yahweh” appearing in cloud, “glory of Yahweh” appearing in fire, or “glory of Yahweh” passing in the sky for everyone to see, etc.

Paul Wallis and other scholars insist that the word “cavod” was translated wrong and it simply meant “spaceship” or “UFO” which makes sense only when “cavod” is translated as such.

As for prayers, I find some prayers (not just limited to Christian or any specific religion) simply beautiful. Meister Eckhard, a German mystic who lived 700 years ago, said that one word beats all prayers (He didn’t say that literally. LOL); and the word is “Danke” (Thank you).

I think that what you feel inside (Be it gratitude or whatever) counts more than pre-conceived, all-purpose prayers. I also think that you’re allowed to disagree with God and conduct internal dispute/dialogue/debate with God.

Sociopaths! That is the only thing that I can surmise to answer that question.

Totally agree with you on that, but you have to have fellowship in order to be true to what the Bible preaches and fellowship is one of them.

Like I’m saying, the Bible is open to more than one interpretations. Discernment, free from accepted views, is the key.
