Of course it is much wiser to surrender and to live than to die useless deaths. What bothers me is that except for one guy, the POWs are ethnic Russians. Fake borders were finalized in 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed. Their native towns should have been in Russia, not in the fake state of Ukraine. Then this fake war wouldnât have happened.
There is no âifâ in history, but IF the division between Russia and Ukraine had been finalized with Kharkov, Donbass, Zaporozhia, Kherson, and Odessa to be included in Russia, based on the language and ethnic divide, Ukraine would be a much smaller and weaker country without any industry to speak of.
Zelenskyâs home town is also in the Russian-speaking region and his native language is Russian. I heard his Ukrainian isnât as good as his Russian.
