Trump to declare emergency over wall

It’s not that mysterious. It was clearly a bribe.

Multilateral. Supposedly. It’s ok to take our marching orders from foreign governments when it’s not a Republican doing it.

It truly was a payoff so they would be our friends. Then they gave Obama the middle finger after pocketing the cash.

We as in Barack Obama.

El Presidente Bamboozala.

Of course they did. Funny thing about Obama, our enemies knew he was weak. How? Because the man projected weakness. Probably why they can’t stand Trump. He projects strength and refuses to play the political gotcha games with these foreign governments who already hate us. He makes an offer, they refuse, he walks. Exactly how our FP should be handled. Would be even better if we stopped meddling in these regions altogether.

The reality of today. Why should w hav troops in Africa, its of zero strategic value.

Preaching to the choir Lou. Why did we get involved with Bosnia during the Clinton years? What good did that do us? At all?

Somalia?? Why did we put people at risk in Benghazi? Why do we have people in Syria? Why do we have 0ver 5000 troops in Kuwait? 3500 troops in Poland?
We have 450K people spread across the world. Maybe we should charge the countries where we send troops.

I believe Trump has not only already talked about that but gotten some of our NATO “allies” to actually start chipping in their fair share.

As for why, the answer is easy:

We pretend to be Team America: World Police when the reality is the military industrial complex is really running the show and have been slowly placing their tentacles everywhere in preparation for solidifying control for the New World Order. It’s like these idiots going around promising everyone will be taken care of if we just become more socialist. It’s a lie. The people pulling their strings don’t give a shit about any of us. It all boils down to they’re seeking power and grabbing more and more control in the meantime until they get all their ducks in a row. With only two international powers left not using the banking cartels for their monetary systems, the clock is winding down. I think that was also the real reason for our involvement in Iraq and the assassination of Khadaffi a few years later. They weren’t playing ball.

Fair share would be 100% of the cost. We need some work there.

Agreed. But hey, it’s a start.

The Border Patrol Certainly does and that’s who he’s relying on to tell him where we need better barriers.

Everything the federal gov’t does requires money. You can’t turn on a light switch or send an email without it costing money.

**[quote=“Pragmatic, post:246, topic:1141, full:true”]

The executive and legislative branch have acces to the same data in regards to the needs at the border. The legislative branch gave Trump 1.3 billion for barriers… Ttump want 8 billion for a wall. Who is telling the truth?

Hmmmm

Certainly not the democrats**

So we are back to Trump knows better than Congress on the needs of CBP, which is complete bullshit.

The “crisis” became “an emergency” when the caravans of thousands started showing up and the detention centers were bursting with overflow and congress refused to act.

That refusal to act was a planned action to allow more catch and release.

On the part of Democrats for sure. Many of the republicans are beholding to groups like the National Chamber of Commerce who also rely on the cheap labor and really don’t want the border secured for that reason.

Are conservatives all of a sudden angry about immigration and border security? I didn’t hear conservatives complaining for decades when they benefited from the cheap labor of undocumented immigrants. As I recall, the massive agriculture industry in the United States benefited greatly from a massive undocumented workforce. They even took in subsidies while paying those undocumented people incredibly low wages. What is it that you all call subsidies again…oh, I got it…welfare!

big difference between conservatives and republicans, many conservatives dont want illegals here period.

Some republican do.

You mean republicans not conservatives.

no, there were legal programs bringing mexican labor in, they were called “guest workers” under the Bracero program, they weren’t undocumented

Suddenly angry? No.

Angry over lack of border security, Yes.

Then you didn’t listen well enough or engaged in selective listening.

Agriculture does not represent all Americans who want secure borders and comprehensive immigration reform.

Cheap labor of illegal aliens?

Seems they were paid at least minimum wage.

And you are incorrect, conservatives have always been against open borders as thy understand the impact of a flood of cheap labor which the left ignores even today.

Stagnant wages and the cost of over 100 billion a year supporting the laughable estimate of 11 million illegals when reality is between 30-40 million.
