Corporations are not monolithic they are made up by people like you and me. What they decide to pay their employees it totally arbitrary and complaining about unfair wages is not based on capitalism to which the market dictates demand but a socialist government mandate! That never works out well in the end when considering ones own right of choice.
If you support progressivism as a solution to address your grievances then you are supporting the CCP. You say don’t support China, yet by voting and believing in such ideologies as well as supporting candidates who I mentioned earlier is indeed a vote for Communist China. You can’t have it both ways. Perhaps you should seriously rethink what you are really supporting for not doing so makes the causes you support seem duplicitous by nature.

I don’t see why California is the symptom…
The industries you complain of are going to be top heavy, with compensation concentrated at the upper 20%…but that’s the nature of that beast, which also helps generate California’s high per capita gdp…
Others have mentioned the real problem of artificial supply restraints, but the bottom line is that living along the coast of California is not a birthright.
As I suggested before, the market is likely to offer the best solution…
If the necessary workforce can’t afford to live within a reasonable distance of work, then those who buy their labor will find themselves bidding for a dwindling pool, driving up price…
More likely is that the wealthy will recognize the need to zone and develop their communities with affordable housing.
It’s kinda like a really big, perpetually sunny Manhattan…
That can’t happen when the need and draw has been for illegals and foreigners to work in a multitude of sectors, off the books or driving down wages.

harrahs ain’t reopening as a casino…it’s gonna be residential, office, and retail.
Within a few years, casinos will be an afterthought in that area…its proximity to Tahoe makes it too valuable to waste on the trash currently filling Reno’s streets.
