The Truth About The 2nd Amendment

But I NEVER said that the NRA wrote the law.

No, in no general sense would I ever be a Trump supporter. But certainly anecdotally I can and have supported him.

I would love to have supported him in his efforts to pay off the ND as he pledged to do, as I would love to have supported him as he ran balanced budgets as he bragged was sooooo easy to do. I would love to have supported him in his pledges to lock her up and be too busy as president to go golfing.

I did and do support his decision not to retaliate militarily on Iran recently, and his claim that sense the straight of Hormuz no longer has the strategic importance to the US, but does for Japan, China and others that they ought to step up and provide for security there.

And I could probably think of a couple other things with which I agree with him…

It’s an addition to our constitution, referred to as an amendment, and you are correct.

The common wealth is in a decline from the Great Britain of old and the citizens are paying for it with their blood
Similarly in the UK, the impact of two waves of immigration has been examined by researchers, specifically looking at the relationship between a rise in immigration and crime levels. The analysis found that when workers from Eastern European states (that joined the EU in 2004) came to the UK, the impact on crime was minimal. But the research also found that the wave of asylum seekers who came to the UK in the 1990s – mainly from war torn countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia – coincided with a slight increase in the total number of property crimes at the time. This was thought to be down to the fact that employment rates for this wave of immigrants was much lower than those of the average Briton.

Well done, good find.

Studies like that in the US on the rare occasion that they are done are buried and/or rejected by the political and academic left and careers get ruined quickly.

The fed’s refuse to even look at that relationship for fear of a meltdown.

The 1st Amendment was was legislated [sic] in the days of wooden printing presses and quill pens. Should all freedoms of the press be relegated to using only those tools?

You do know that back in the founding fathers day there were “assault type” guns back then, so it wasnt just the musket, and you do know that during the civil war that the North had superior weaponry vs the south.

The south had better commanders

No, nor should a contemporary be confined to a flint lock rifle. But there’s more support for restrictions than there are against them.

Then amend the U.S. Constitution to state the popular restrictions since the 2A clearly states “…shall not be infringed.”

Apparently that’s not necessary as there have been restrictions for perhaps a century without doing so, and yet those that wish to, are still bearing arms.

Discipline, safety, consequences, responsibility, and patience. All things far too many youth lack today.

Which are continually being undone by the SCOTUS on the basis they were unconstitutional.

Of course not, they’re a GUN lobby…

Actually far longer than that. The Carter administration worked with the Mujahideen in A-Stan and later senator Wilson was a huge advocate of helping them to defeat the soviets.

Of course like most anything else we’ve interfered in, our support of them led to the morphing into the taliban that we later came back to fight ourselves and have now decided to negotiate with.

Not some socialist dogma .

Are you denying that the NRA is a gun lobby?

Do any of thous citizens pictured look like a lobbies ?
Them and five million other American citizens are the N.R.A.
Our officers are voted for by the membership .

Lobbying for the membership and all the legal firearms owners in America .
In 2017 the NRA’s lobbying efforts focused on a number of bills, including the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017, which would allow people to carry concealed weapons across state lines as long as they are registered in their home state, and the Hearing Protection Act of 2017, which would eliminate restrictions on silencers for guns.
All of those bill’s would impact firearms owners in a positive way !
No different then any union lobbying congress for the good of their membership !
