The Rabbit Hole

No I never watch that. It winds me up too much, plus I am sort of allergic to the BBC.

I’m sure it won’t concern them either way, the invite is probably seen as an opportunity to encourage me to get some jab or another or on statins.

That was too cryptic Ex ? Jack Bruce from Cream ? Mighty Quinn another good blast from the past :+1: :notes:

Ok I lied it was

As a rule I don’t either, the hand picked (random my arse) audience is just too much to tolerate but as it was close to home, might try and stomach it later.

Apparently some half caste woman on a rant about racism with ginger nut and his mrs, of course she happened to be a lecturer in some bullshit like race studies and had the audacity to say to a guy on the panel about his white, male privilege.

Hey Ex as it is Friday you might errrrr, well you know… :grinning:

Rather difficult to recognise Eric from a 60s photo but…

Laurence was brilliant - called out the race lobby and twitter exploded.

I think it was one from this guys playlist, there are quite a few from the military that understand their systems.

:+1:Thanks Mag will check it out.

I just tried to watch some of it and slipped into a coma. It’s like watching paint dry

I did like that a couple of the panelists admit that the “poor me” bullshit from certain politicians and minority groups has worn a bit thin now, and it is time curtail it. :+1:

I have read so much on “this is bad for you, this is good for you” advise.

I remember when margarine was “the thing”. I couldn’t stand it. I wouldn’t eat the stuff. I have always believed if it comes naturally from this earth as a healthy food source, eat what you want in moderation.

Rotate between chicken, fish and meat with plenty of vegetables and fruit.

I never crave junk food or sweets. However, there are times when I crave something like olives, sardines or liver (for example). When I do, I know my body is deficient in something so I go with it.

For those that are health conscious, IMHO, it is important to understand your own needs and take care of them accordingly. What may be right for one person may not be right for another based on their individual footprint.

I am highly skeptical of the science which has said, “eggs or XYZ is bad for you”, etc. only to turn around later and reverse their opinion.

It’s only fairly recent that I realised most of the nutritional advice is based on very poor quality studies and it doesn’t matter what the subject matter is, from meat to peas the data is weak across the board. It’s quite shocking at what is considered evidence and do wonder who the hell allows all this crap to pass muster.

Agreed. I long ago learned not to pay attention to nutritional studies.

However, my last blood test shows polycythemia, vitamin D and B12 deficiencies.

That is hard evidence; I can adjust my diet and add supplements to accommodate.

Good luck hope you get it straightened out. Here is my prescription…

Ohhh, nice!

Riddle me this? How can a person who lives in SW Florida, land of Groundhog Sunshine have a vitamin D deficiency? I find that hilarious.

In all regards, moderation is the call of the day. No matter what you do, don’t overdo it!
