The Rabbit Hole

Hungary is doing a good job, mind you they dont want to return to the 50’s and 60’s as they were communist at that time.
Solberg is doing okay so far, Trump is having some challenges, he’s figuring out that Congress has the real power and he is just the caretaker.

So much for the left thinking Trump is a fascist?

as long as there are people like you and me and a few on this forum that is willing to stand up for the right and conservatives , the left will have a hard time, plus we need some on the left to serve us at restaurants , and make sure the items are stocked at the grocery store.

Agreed I shouldn’t have lumped them all in but I’m sure you understand my tack. But take France, even with Le Pen in power she would really have to make some radical changes. I’ve been to Paris quite a lot over the last 30+ years to watch the rugby but not in the last 6 years or so since many of these animals have turned it into an open air toilet. It will be tall order to turn the clock back there . We won’t be far behind them because of a procession of gutless, self serving governments, left and right.

I think we our largely pissing in the wind, the ones we want to reach don’t want to listen. The political elites don’t listen. Nobody seems to be interested in common sense thinking anymore.
I prefer not to knock anyone based on their job title, as long as they aren’t sitting on the sofa waiting to be tit fed.
Having said that maybe that is were we are going wrong. Maybe we all need to stop working and paying tax until the pot is run dry and the streets look like the set of Mad Max. We will survive and flourish again but the couch dwellers will crumble. I believe there is a movie called “The Purge”, sounds like a decent plan. I’m rambling now.

She talks a lot of sense but she won’t get anywhere. What is considered as the right is too fractured and that has been engineered.

I hear you and understood you.

Oh I agree, Ive been to Paris, Nice and Calais in the last 4 years and you are dead on.

we will always survive, as long as we have to ability to earn revenue we can pick up and move if it really gets bad,but I honestly dont think it will get any worse as people will wake up and realize that some religions are just plain evil and socialists are a bunch of whack jobs

Write to your MP … not too often, maybe every 6 months, and encourage people you know to do the same.

The strength of feeling will gradually become apparent to the SSPs, they are already acknowledging that there is an undercurrent of feeling about certain things.

Glossary: SSP = Self Serving Politician

I thought I would post this here. I would put in a link to the Brexit thread if I knew how to do it…

Have had to start breeding geese as have already worn out so many quills writing to MP’s over the years.

Here ya go!

It’s easy, mate. Just click on the little two-link chain symbol at the bottom of a post…right click on the highlighted address…click on copy…move to the thread you want to put it in and paste it in a new post (or in one you can edit).

You can also paste the address in an email, on Twitter (if you use it) or Facebook (if you use it)…

Very poignant at about 6 mins but whole thing worth listening to.

Thanks
In which case I should link it into the RH because most members cannot read in here

Oh, I don’t use either of them anymore. I’m not permitted on Twitter because I refused to delete two tweets that Twitter determined to be offensive to Muslims.

They were indeed offensive to radical Islam…but I refused to delete them and posted that Twitter can delete all my tweets and retweets for all I care. I think it was the “Fuck Twitter” sign off that did the trick.

FUCK TWITTER! FUCK FACEBOOK! FUCK GOOGLE!

Were the 70’s really the best decade or am I just a nostalgic GOG.

it depends what era you grew up, if you grew up during the 80’s you will think that is the best era, if you grew up in the 50’s same thing.

just like millenials who grew up in the 2000’s will tell you in 40 years that the decade of the 2000’s was the best era.

just a matter of perspective.

Not sure I agree Max - for instance I know a couple of millenials who tell me they wish they had lived during the 60/70’s

I should have said “most” people not all.

I know a few folks that wished they grew up in the 50’s and they are in their 30’s, I actually know someone that wished they grew up in the roaring 20’s, they just love that era.

For me I grew up in the 80’s so of course I have fond memories but I wouldn’t go back there, I love today and what it brings and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Thats what keeps me up at night - when I look around this fucked up world I can’t see anything good happening anytime soon.

Im talking about technology and how my life is easier, Im not talking political or how society is today, that isnt great.

Politically its a mess, society for the most part is a mess, today the attention is turned to the white man, apparently to the left is evil being a white straight male.
