Totally agree, but you know that is not how it happens. Most of the wars we have been involved with since WWII have been by proxy only. How was it that we went to war with NK? In the guise of communism? Point is, the powers that be will go to war whether we like it or not, and its up to the American people to do something about it. What? I am not sure. When all options are exhausted its when things get dicey!

Here are some suggestions to keep Russia in check, should it invade Ukraine (not that I expect Biden to do any of these).
(1) Put severe pressure upon Germany to stop the Nord Stream pipeline.
(2) Cut off Russia from the world banking system.
(3) Sell offensive weapons–not just defensive ones–to Ukraine.
(4) Pressure all of Europe to stop purchasing oil and natural gas from Russia–even if the US has to make up the difference.

Don’t expect Europe to unite on anything against Putin . Deutschlands Leftist SPD will ruin Germany and Europe and Merkel will look like Maggie Thatcher in comparison.

Well you are correct in the origins of the word, however now that we know that both parties belong to the same social country club “NEO” as in “New” and “Con” have become synonymous to describe New con artists in the political arena and doesn’t necessarily apply to Republicans any longer. Right on cue, the deep state is instructed to create a war for a “Wag the Dog” effect just before mid-term elections because Democrats just lost independents and they know with their sinking poll numbers their grip on power is slipping.
