Thereās a whole lot of wealthy democrats, business men and women, they are entrepreneurial capitalists. As a form of government they may endorse a form of socialism. Basically more of what weāve already had forever and a day. Like fire and police, hospitals, a military, a coastguard, a national guard, streets, roads, airports, schools, libraries, all manner of municipal infrastructures, social securityā¦I could post examples all day of how Americans all contribute financially (in the form of taxes) to these myriad of social institutions that have built a fantastic social order in America. Or socialism, much as that word creates a nasty buzzing in the heads of the lemon pipers.

I own a medical billing company with offices in three states, I bill it daily. Obama care is alive and well and thank goodness.
Regardless of being very local (county) state or federal, all the programs and services I mentioned to you earlier are socialism. The collective contributes to the common good. Youāve been living with it all your life and thatās the continuing future of America. Live with it.

Let me rephrase- capitalism and socialism cannot exist in their pure forms. Socialism cannot exist without a capitalist backbone, and monopolies and child labor would be present in pure Capitalism. I would still prefer that companies have a larger reign than what they do in a Socialist society. That way, the free market can take care of any problems through boycotting. The government wouldnāt have to get involved, much. With that said, I am against Big Pharma and I think that there should be a ceiling on the amount the companies can charge for their medication. But thatās another story for another time. Donāt want to derail the thread.
