The Cult of Trump

No, I am Pro-Palestinian.

It looks like Iā€™m going to need a cup.

So itā€™s OK with you that your president lies to you about everything, and that heā€™s running this country like his own failed businesses?

You are stating an opinion, and making accusations but can you actually back it up with hard facts? Please do, otherwise you just come off as another lefty suffering from TDS! In other words this is your chance to state your case with a cogent argument backed up with facts! Letā€™s see if you can actually do that!

This isnā€™t a left wing echo chamber where blanket statements like that go unchallenged.

So site the lies and site how his business are failures.

I went up to NJ over Memorial Day weekend to visit my brother and his family. We went and played golf at Trumpā€™s NJ course. It was one of the nicest courses Iā€™ve ever played on. The business was doing fine.

You ignore the part you donā€™t like and focus on what you do.

Yep, at least youā€™re an honest oneā€¦

You refer to the multiple bankruptcies and all those hurt by it as compared to record budget deficits and a ballooning national debtā€¦

I think there are less people loyal to Trump now than when he was elected. I personally voted for Trump and was a crazy die-hard supporter from the minute he came down the escalator.

My support has been waining recently because the departure between candidate Trump and President Trump has been too wide for me. I, like many others, absolutely detest the presence of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in positions of authority in the White House.

I first started shaking my head at Trump when he got rid of Steve Bannon - because Bannon was battling with Kushner and ultimately Trump sided with his son-in-law.

Iā€™m also not a die-hard supporter of Israel. I donā€™t wish them ill will or anything but there are a few on this board who appear to be zealots. I just think Trump went too far in his support for Israel and not far enough in his support for the United States. Trump seems willing to burn all political capital in his support of Israel but wonā€™t do that for America. Thatā€™s a big problem a lot of us have with Trump. I resist being labeled as an anti-semite but thatā€™s the accusation that gets made anyway. Itā€™s fucking ridiculous. The zealots think they are backing Trump ( because that means they are backing Israel) but meanwhile they are pushing his base that actually got him elected further away. Many of these zealots are former or current never Trumpers, which is both strange and interesting at the same time.

I can very much appreciate that, because itā€™s a given that republicans would have (rightly so) objected to Chelsea Clinton and her husband in similar position had HRC won the election.

This is very interesting as well.

ā€œHere is a guarantee that Iā€™ve made. If you have insurance that you like, then you will be able to keep that insurance.ā€
ā€œI will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits ā€“ either now or in the future. I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period. And to prove that Iā€™m serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised donā€™t materialize.ā€ No savings to date.
If you like your doctor you can keep him?
2500 savings in the mail, LOL.
The previous promised he would have no lobbyists on staff yet there were over 40.

Falsely claimed to believe in public education

Although Obama said, ā€œWe need to uphold the ideal of public education,ā€ he expressed his true opinion of Americaā€™s public education system by sendinghis own children to private schools while living in Chicago and Washington D.C.

His lies cost the American taxpayers as well as those purchasing healthcare billions.

His businesses are a failure yet he doesnā€™t take a dime in salary as president. If I recall few presidents elected their pay. If I recall correctly Bama donated little to charity.

Saying nothing about his predators lies makes you a hypocrite.

Perhaps you have missed the tariffs he placed on Mexico.

Perhaps you have missed the tariffs placed o China.

Perhaps you missed the the NAFTA negotiations.

Of all past presidents heā€™s willing to take a stand for this country unlike the dimwits in the house who throw the doors open and say come on in world as long as you vote progressive/dimwit.

Trump is an anomaly, whether 20 or 24 he (along with his hate, bigotry, racism and isolationist ideology) will be relegated to the historical ash heap.

Then you support using children as human shields and bombs. That fitsā€¦ given your posts so far.

Iā€™m OK with almost everything Trump does in his capacity as President.

Personally I dont like real estate developers. I hate casino owners. I think golf is a stupid game and Trumpā€™s preference for skinny women is misguided.

But as Presidentā€¦ he is GREAT!

Can you explain how you wanted to elect either a Socialist or a career criminal, lying politician, and old hag in all-in-one?

I mean, I didnā€™t like Trump in the 2016 election (I would have preferred Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, or Carly Fiorina), and I still donā€™t like him now, but heā€™s a heck of a lot better than someone who advocates for Socialism, which is what the Democrats are all about now. At least heā€™s a Capitalist.

And in a way, I sympathize with you. I sort of hate Trump supporters for their scorched-earth campaign ideology. They had better remain loyal to Trump and against Socialism or weā€™re going to see the U.S. go in a very bad direction. Itā€™s like someone who made an impulsive decision, and now, their impulsiveness has left a vacuum of bad decisions, and then in the future, we have to pick up the pieces. I donā€™t like Trump, but if he doesnā€™t get elected this second time around, and Libertarians donā€™t see an increase in support, the radical left is going to crash the entire country, and blame the Conservatives for it.

The responsibility is on Trumpā€™s and his supportersā€™ shoulders now, as well as the left. Or weā€™re all going to die in this plane crash.

Hopefully the Libertarians put up a decent candidate this time. They block voted in Gary Johnson as the LP candidate because he had connections and money, and they discarded their values for media attention.

Socialism is more than that, itā€™s a form of government moreso than just monetary policy. In fact, with the myriad of social programs that have existed in America nearly forever, itā€™s evidence that the two (socialism and capitalism) can and have lived hand in hand.
