The plane clearly was not a scud. The crew was coming home from a mission and was known to be out there. The missile battery operators knew not to fire. BUT THE MISSILE COMMANDER INTENTIONALLY FIRED. This man and his navigator were killed by Americans. Are Americans evil because of this?
No. In war, mistakes are made at all levels. The higher the level, the longer it takes to recognize the mistake.

Why did Israel launch this attack???
If it was friendly fire why did it last so long and why were so many weapons used??
I have legitimately not heard of this instant before if someone can fill me in on some of the gaps I would appreciate it

My position on Israel is that they are our allies and one of the few in the ME, however they (meaning not the people but the dark operatives have done some shady shit and are not without blame) its probably why a lot of people have a lot of legitimate questions when it comes down to motives! However that doesn’t mean that every negative event that happens such as a random shooting or some horrific atrocity that the ■■■■ are responsible and needs to be entertained with anti Semitic nonsense that so often gets bantered here on this site Ad nauseam. The point is, every government has operated with deception by exacting human casualties to justify an objective and Israel is no exception!

Ah…another ground pounder whose only concept of friendly fire begins and ends with a guy with his finger on a trigger.
Sorry buddy but at higher echelons when mistakes in judgement, intelligence, and communication are made, the consequences last longer than a single trigger pull.
I completely understand your point but when your target is not attacking back does they’re not set alarm bells ringing and lead to information going back in the chain of command that this is not a normal battle because your target is not firing back? Also are they not grades of target like we know this is the Taliban and we know what mission they are trying to complete so we attack aiming for completely destruction Vs there is a boat in waters or cars moving across a desert and according to our information they’re not supposed to be there but we’re not really sure if this is enemy activity so we will be safe and not sorry and attack them but if they don’t attack back maybe we will ease up on our attack to establish whether they are a legitimate target surely it’s not just black and white I’ve had many friends in the army and most of them told me that when they are out in Afghanistan or Iraq they weren’t allowed to shoot until they were shot at first

Also if there was an attack on a American military vehicle would they not be a American flag or English race on the vehicle and the soldiers would be multiracial how many armies in the world would have white soldiers black soldiers Latino soldiers and possibly East Asian soldiers how could you mistake that for the Iranian navy???
It was a spy ship … providing intelligence. Intelligence platforms typically don’t carry much in the line of weapons but are deadly nonetheless. In more recent times you may recall shootdowns of even civilian aircraft suspected of being intelligence assets. Does KAL 007 ring a fucking bell for you, Einstein? Or even go back to Gary Powers. Was his U2 carrying weapons, Einstein? No. Was it a threat nonetheless? Yes. And we knew it. We always know that unauthorized intelligence collection is viewed as a hostile action. So… “no weapons” means something only to you people who really don’t understand warfare.
So you support Americans getting killed by Israel. That’s all you had to say.
