Is Civilized Society in the Early Stages of Breaking Down?

Interesting synopsis and I am visualizing somewhere in Harlem that this takes place. Also interesting is I just finished watching a Netflix miniseries called “When They See US”. Base on a true story of a group of 5 kids who were growing up in Harlem and were wrongly accused of a crime to which would see their youth and lives ripped apart and stolen from them forever, by a criminal Justice system that was used with an over-zealousness to even scores and seek notoriety for ambition ranks while ignoring the actual truth. It was a pretty compelling story, one in which I am forced to reflect of the grievances that some have for our system of justice and its unfair corrupt practices in modern day, especially as it relates to prosecutors. Also more importantly the effect over time these kind of events, real ones at that, and the effect they have over the long term on the socio-consciousness on society as a whole. I am reverted back to the simple concept of 'cause and effect" or we reap what we sow".

We will find out soon enough.

I think BHO was the anomaly. If order and discipline is weaponizing the Federal government, and giving away America to Globalism, and perverts in the ladies bathroom is the status quo, then the Dems have left middle America.

Where is my Gadsden flag?

Pretty interesting and compelling. I wonder what motivated Calhoun to do these studies was he himself observed in a visionary pretext that human society and its proclivities towards certain behavioral patterns would emerge to find such correlations. Population growth stagnates with infant mortality rates raising. Centralized mass population in large cities, where aggressive behaviors seem to happen the most. Also the ones who were happiest, healthiest were the mice that decided to avoid conflict altogether and live alone. I think there is a correlation from this aspect to white flight that started to take place in certain cites. Lastly in Calhoun’s final analysis, where eventually the last colony started to die off when the females stop producing litters. Sounds about right in certain societies today regarding the correlational to human characteristics and evolution of its basic survival behavior. Also I wonder how much of the prison population is really serving as a controlled environment for making them test subjects of a much larger experiment.

You really think Matias Reyes was the perp? He had absolutely nothing to lose by saying he did it.

It was a matching DNA that confirmed he was the lone killer when it was finally all said and done!

He was just the stupidest one.

Was this in the movie?

Well he was already in prison for life for murdering his pregnant wife, so yeah he had nothing to lose, and perhaps he had some kind of epiphany just how heinous his crime was where confessing it was his vehicle to seek redemption. Who knows, but for me what stood out the most was the New York judicial system and how its authoritarian disposition has bred such contempt over the years for how it treats its subjects as being a mere statistic. That to me is most compelling. “Conservatives are indifferent and liberals are stupid” is a title of a book I want to write after watching this mini series!

Just a suggestion…
Read what the victim says. Read why the police believe there was more than one person involved. You watched a miniseries that was intended to make you feel the way you do.

No and it doesn’t matter, what others will say in an attempt at revisionist history. The victim testified in open court and had no recollection who her attackers were nor could she identify the boys either who were present in the court room that day when she gave her testimony.

I actually read the case file, some years ago, and a lot of the confessions were coerced IMO. It was a total miscarriage of justice and it was the cops that fcked-up. Also there may have been more than one attacker, but the ones who were accused were innocent! By most accounts the case was entirely circumstantial, if not for the coerced confessions, even the DA prosecuting the case had doubts that the kids being accused were guilty.

Globalization didn’t originate with Obama.

I see nothing in @PhysicsHunter’s statement that makes the claim it did.

It’s gone look at Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, California, Camden… wake up time for action

This is an interesting observation from the study, bc you would think that the population would stagnates / declines when food supply wanes, living environment (or even climate change) deteriorates, but in this case the food supply was constant. It goes to show that its not the food for the stomach that was lacking, but the food for the soul. These mice act the way they do in nature and try to reproduce bc thats their sole genetic purpose, to reproduce. Take away this goal, and they wander off a different path. I also think that the confined space plays a role, and it takes away their exploratory goal / nature.

I dont think they were the “happiest”, per say, or I could be wrong. There were two types of seclusion: the males that were at the bottom of the hierarchy congregate in the middle, most with wounds from the dominant mice, and just give up on trying to find a mate, and just eat and live until their genes disappear. There is also another group that I think youre referring to: the “beautiful ones”. For males, these were the homosexual males that dont engage in sexual intercourse with female rats but male one (mostly the dominant males), so they are not seen at threats and were not attacks. For the female “beautiful ones”, they dont reproduce and just spend time grooming. Both of these are effectively dead, genetically speaking.

Yes, when the “morality” of the colony collapses, living quarters are being invaded / disrupted constantly so it’s hard to raise the young, and so infant mortality / abandonment rates were high. Younglings also miss a chance to learn from the parents on how to be effective citizens, in a sense, and they did not live effectively and produce offspring that were able to live and adapt to the environment. They forgot how to be effective mice (i.e. fending for themselves, reproducing etc)…

Excellent, supperhey…

@Dr_Manhattan also, I forgot to add that this is the equivalence of an “existential crisis” to the truest of its sense to humanity, that life has no purpose and meaning. People of time past “solved” this problem by ways of religions / philosophy (conquering of the unknown of the soul) or war / conquest (conquering the unknown of the material land), or even science (conquering of the elements). These are all plausible ways that give one’s short life a purpose.

This is why a lot of people (especially atheists) are big fan of anything space / scifi, bc for the most part, religions are losing their overall influence, and there are not much conquering to be done (except politically, in a sense), and your average Joe isnt going to be building his own garage particle collider to synthesize element #119. This explains why people are so gungho about pushing the cancerous “meaninglessness” of existence: on being “beautiful” i.e. vain, LGBTQA+, materialistic, abortion / birth control, open border, diversity, socialism / communism. Note the running theme among these items: everyone is the same, so you dont matter, bc to the larger dying society, you mean nothing to us. We the collective are all doomed in the end, so you dont matter, and to that extend your family, bc as we see in the Mice Utopia expereiment, the break down of the family unit is where the societal collapse really kicks into high gear.

The fetal and newborn mortality rates in the US are directly tied to the behavior of the “mothers”.

Drugs, alcohol, poor sleep habits, participating in dangerous activities such as gang activity, all contribute in large ways to those rates.

Those choosing not to seek prenatal care will also have much higher rates of mortality.

Of course many of those “mothers” will also those who neglect and abuse their kids that manage to survive in the womb to birth.

In many “communities” such behaviors aren’t even seen as bad or irresponsible anymore.

Globalization is inevitable, and has been developing for decades. The days of isolation are gone. And I’m not sure what you think has been given away in its name.
