Two Types, continued, so to speak.
Real intellectual progress stopped with the universitiesâ universally rotten handling of so-called anti-war protests of the 60s. Co-incident in those times were the race riots in big cities which were also handled badly. In both cases they happened, they exhausted themselves, and eventually ended. Big city Mayors and college Presidents are not elected or appointed based upon their skills to handle volatile situations, or unruly citizens. They are at the top of their respective food chains as administrators of lackeys. There is no list of qualifications for both position that doesnât begin and end with, 1.) Skillful fund raiser. 1.a.) Can smile at camera or moneyed supporters on command. 1.b.) (Optional) Has no egregious criminal history, to speak of. There is nothing else that is mandatory, even if #1 can be said to be mandatory. So often they bring no skills to the table. Can we be surprised that they have no other skills?
Did you watch the highfalutin university Presidents quizzed by Rep. Elise Stephanik who couldnât seem to discriminate between abusive and non-abusive behavior of students and activists who had seized parts of their campuses? When asked if chanting, âDeath to the Jewsâ was outside of permitted protest policy they hemmed and hawed and tried to sound intelligent in spite of themselves. But, alas and alack, they stumbled thru brain fart after brain fart, totally un-self-aware while at the same time totally confident that they were speaking within the attorney-advised safe envelope. Stay above the fray; Say nothing that they can pin you down on; Be neutral; Volunteer nothing; Just answer as simply and briefly as possible without being abrupt. Smile aimlessly.
âWhat color is the sky? âIâm not sure I havenât looked directly at it recently, but itâs usually blue with white clouds, or darker clouds if rain is imminent, but I havenât heard a weather report so I couldnât really say. Iâll look before tomorrowâs testimony and let you have a more complete answer then.
I donât mean to let the Mayors off the hook. Theyâre the guys holding back the only people in their employ who know how to handle rowdy crowds of people and move in before it gets out of hand, -the police, âGive the protesters time to have their say; Iâll let you know when to move inâŚ.â Looking back over 60 years of protests that have turned ugly, has it ever been different? Has the Mayorâs office ever announced, âChief James Craig has our full support to keep law & order in the streets and arrest immediately any troublemakers from outside the city, who will be jailed and we intend to throw the book at protesters who come to Detroit to ruin our cityâ.
As a matter of fact Detroit was a quiet as a church service thru all the BLM riot years, except for one incident. The cops chased down the bad guys and threw them in jail, and all was quiet & peaceful after that. My kind of Mayor; my kind of Chief; my kind of law & order.
Will they be publishing guidelines for qualifications for Mayor or college Presidents soon? Ever? Ask for nothing; get nothing.
So, back to no intellectual progress in universities since the 60s: There was a social researcher in eastern Canada, maybe Montreal who came up with some stats on the IQs of blacks in the 70s, which he said was low and falling. They didnât need to read any further than that to get out the rope and pick a tree with a strong lower branch. They were going to shut his mouth ASAP, and did. But some of the research leaked out sideways.
Turns out his findings were fully supported by the numbers and the reasons for the decline were kind of bulletproof, too. That was simply that Aid to Dependent Children beginning in the late 50s/early 60s was generous enough to change society. The societal norm of a young girl getting pregnant, forced to give up the baby because she couldnât support the baby and going on with life, sadder, but wiser had been changed, forever. Now, any girl of any age could choose to keep the baby and Social Services would pay medical expenses, for an apartment, for food, clothing, etc., etc., all the expenses necessary for the girl to keep the baby. No need to fight with Mom & Dad; tell them to stuff it, quit school, and move out to your own place!! Be an adult! After all, you can have more adultery without Mom & Pop looking over your shoulderâŚ
So, the obvious result? Have as many addition children out of wed lock as suits, and life in the care of Big Brother goes on as the payments increase. As the girl children of the first child Mom gets to that discovery age, guess what happens? How about the boys? The first boy has no income at his age, whatever that is, even if she names him, and no more forced marriages, so he gets off free as a bird. Begin the spiral of Children with no education having children having children having children. No fathers in the home because the payments would disappear. Girls, now older but not wiser having babies by several different fathers. So children without fathers having children without fathers, on and on and on. You can pack 3 generation into 40 years, and what have you? Dumb kids having kids but not educating dumb kids, the situation being especially aggravated by inner city schools with low standards and poor discipline. Such school systems being packed with fatherless children raised by a generational succession of welfare mothers. If you test these kids, as kids, thence adults; what would you expect to see in the stats? Yeah, predictable.
But damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead and shoot the messenger. In an era of Blacks pointing out every instance of racial inequity, no one wanted to broadcast this message. Cry racism loud & long. So, the Canadian research got buried. It was too embarrassing for the white liberals who instituted the mess; too embarrassing for the Black establishment, I guess, too much to handle by the supposed intelligentsia running higher education, and the govts wanted no part of calling blacks dumb and getting dumber, so nada. Hide it and stop talking about it. Good thing the fire department has a different understanding of their duty. They find an egregious violation and they fine you enough to make it right; and not do that again.
Have welfare agencies changed? Yes, they are an equal opportunity agency now and include as many white girls as fall by the wayside. So every race is getting dumber. Look around you; see the evidence? University students who canât tell the difference between murderers and freedom fighters?
