I’m wondering what the end game is of all these protests? The Chinese are never going to allow Hong Kong to completely break away from their control. I suspect that if this keeps up the Chinese will go full Tiananmen Square on these protesters.
And there is NO scenario in which we HAVE to.
Said Lord Chamberlain. … .
Right, so do you still think it’s the police attacking protesters…?
Umm how the hell would he know? He is not here! Go to the live thread to find your answer where I posted a video of police beating the crap out of people or are you really that dense?
It should be obvious, if the local police fail, the Chinese military will prevail.
Again posting to others here, like running down the list is not making you look smarter Nor raising the level of your knowledge of what is actually happening here! You should quit, your starting to embarrass yourself about something you have no knowledge about troll!
Yeah ok Monty muncher! You go boy! Old news! We knew this already but your not smart enough to have figured that out yet huh?
Well at least these people did finally clear out so that business could resume.
Hong Kong protesters clash with police hours after apologizing to air travelers
“It is not our intention to cause delays to your travels and we do not want to cause inconvenience to you,” protesters said in a statement.
Yes, but it’s odd it began as a peaceful demo - they’re that kind of people the Japanese - then turns ugly? Makes me wonder how much of the violence is being provoked? A kinda chicken-and-egg scenario?
What are you talking about???
Well, the Chinese are accusing both our countries of meddling.
Hong Kongers are not Japanese. Why do you insist that they are?
Neither are the Taiwanese…
Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam refuses to answer questions during a heated media conference in which she defended the police crackdown on pro-democracy protesters. The leader ignored repeated questions about whether she has the autonomy to withdraw the extradition bill that has sparked more than two months of protests, claiming she had already answered the question. Asked about police brutality she said the police had had ‘a very difficult time’ enforcing the law and had to make on the spot judgments. Lam is heckled as she leaves the media conference.
It sounds like the Chinese have her by the short and curlys.
