I have to agree that it was the boomers that started the off-shoring and outsourcing craze. As a result they did create a massive set of problems from lower wages to unchecked immigration.
They failed to realize that It’s not just dollars and cents, GDP, and all that. It’s a matter of what types of industry you have on your own soil, employing your own fellow citizens as skilled labor. Those skills have to be cultivated and maintained, transferred from one generation to the next. Self-sufficiency in agriculture, energy production, and heavy industry are matters of national security. Who cares if it has a higher unit cost than importing it from China?
We need our own manufacturing and industrial base here on our own soil, employing our fellow American citizens, and it doesn’t really matter how much more expensive that might be.

So, a boomer is trying to unflood the country from illegals and prevent more from entering.

Hey, we didn’t get a wall but Black employment is at the lowest level since slavery and we got a criminal justice reform bill that let’s convicts out onto our streets early. Highest number of illegals in decades. Obama had lower numbers of illegals flooding in…nothing to be pissed about at all. Just secret libs.

Obama never had the rush on the border that Trump has been dealing with and congress along with the courts keeps preventing Trump from being able to take the necessary actions which could have prevented them from overwhelming the system.
Presidents are not kings and they have to work within the law.
They got hungry and figured out that prison food sucked so they quit marching and got jobs. When they started having to actually pay taxes and Reagan came a long things changed rapidly.
It’s easy to be a lib till you have to start paying your own bills.
