BTW, a lot of people don’t LIKE Trump personally. But they like what he is doing for the country. Try to comprehend that conservatives aren’t rabid lock in step followers like liberals are. We CAN separate the issues from the person. Apparently, you have difficulty with that.

What if there is another candidate with the same policies?

People can dislike Trump for many reasons. Hell, I think the guy can be an ass and at times full of himself. But he gets results and that is what counts.
Sure I think the threat of tariffs is just that a threat. Trump is bluffing. But that’s how almost every good negotiation goes. And even if Mexico calls his bluff, so what. Put the tariffs in place and ramp them up until Mexico breaks. And they will. Who gives a crap if someone has to pay more for their bottle of Tequila or their imported Mexican beer.
