Just like in our American Civil War the military would be fractured top to bottom and those not willing to swear blind allegiance would have to be discharged and sent home.

If/when we have another civil war it will not look at all like the previous one. It will not be a war between states it will be a war in every state as groups band together to fight against left and right.

If a civil war erupts in America, it will be door-to-door street fights, with some Army/Marine Corps/State trooper and police factions backing certain civilian groups, while there will be a lot of looting, murders, summary executions…

Further, California as a separate country would have been the 5th largest economy in the world last year , ahead of the UK ($2.62 trillion), India ($2.61 trillion) and France ($2.58 trillion).
