I have opposed US policies that are responsible for the problem causing so much handwringing, for 3 decades now. While I have had company, it’s scant. Just as with your own countrymen, Americans ignore the UN, Pentagon, and various think tank reports that all tell us that our WOT is causing the problem.

I remember reading something recently from Lord Pearson(I think) where he said he had tried to reach out to the Muslims in UK to discuss immigration and Islam.
Apparently they didn’t think they needed to bc they had already ‘‘won’’ the debate.

In the UK previously if you committed a driving offence like having bald tyres you will be given I think 4 working days to replace your bald tyres and than you would have to go back to the police station show that your car is now roadworthy nowadays they give you 3 points for each tire on your licence which kills you on car insurance and they give you a on the spot fine
