So nothing? Name just one thing.

Most people simply don’t waste time on nonsense posts as Sneaky tends to bless us with.

I disagree. He’s not one of the intellectual movement conservatives, but there’s a lot of different kinds of conservatives. Personally, I’m at odds with a lot of the intellectual conservatives these days, and I’ve been in that camp for a long time, long time admirer of Buckley and RE Tyrrell.

Trump is a pragmatist and probably not a good listener, maybe even a jerk. However, he’s done more for the movement than a lot of those claiming to belong to it. He’s shown that you can’t stay above the fray with the dirty lefties these days, you’ve got to fight them hard. The wimps in the GOP are aghast at that, they’d rather appease the beast and let the liberal mob go after the heads that pop up out of the crowd. I’ll take a fighter who’s never read a Buckley book over some effete intellectual who clings to obsolete rules of behavior.

I believe in pragmatism, too. Common sense has a strong place in conservatism.

LOL. And yet here you are. Talking about me instead of to me.

What does Conservatism means to you?

And yes I’m being serious here. It is in my opinion most people don’t have a clue…let alone how to move the country back towards the value of limited goverment, maximum freedom.

I believe in the long term you will see that Trump has done more to destroy conservatism than anything the bloody liberals have attempted.

Freedom from; not liberty to.

@SneakySFDude

This is where your “truer words were never posted” reply should be used.

Pragmatism and conservatism may have some overlap, but they are not the same thing. And if you are going to apply common sense to Trump, you must be delusional. The man is a loose cannon.

Most of Trump’s strongly held opinions are of the common sense variety, it seems to me. Being against illegal immigration, and the pack of lies its defenders use. Appointing judges who hopefully will restrain the liberals’ attempts to implement their agenda any way they can. Being against lousy trade deals. Fighting the propaganda media.

Yes, he’s a loose cannon, and probably isn’t thinking strategically for the conservative cause. He won the nomination of the GOP because its voters were tired of weasels who would cave. Flake, Corker, now liver-lips Lamar are some of the other casualties in that battle. If the GOP doesn’t learn from this, it will get destroyed and it won’t be because of Trump. It will be because the establishment thinks that after they weather the storm they can go back to weasels like Jeb and tell the GOP voters who to vote for.

And yet hiring them?

That is a rather condescending reply. I’ve not been unfriendly to you so I’m not sure why the snark.

Read the United States constitution and amendments 1 through 14. It is the bible of governmental conservatism.

The fiercest fighters in the worlds history have always loved a loose cannon or two in their midst. The ancient Vikings called them “Berserkers”. We finally have a “loose cannon” fighting for us. And what is a lot of folks on our side doing?? Sitting around, picking their nose, scratching their ass separating the man from his deeds. Boy howdy – that’s really gonna save the day!

The 14th? Are you sure?

And the 12th? Conservatism?

Well bless yo poor little ol pea pick’in heart. Ya still haven’t answered the original question. Who do you know would do a better job than Trump is doing considering all the crap being thrown at him?

You sorta pathetically dumb.
