There is no democratic socialism

Lmao, Trump is NOT opposing big government, he’s embracing it and growing it. He has signed RECORD budget deficits and the national debt that he made such a stink about and blamed on Obama, has swollen under his watch. So much for shrinking government…

LOL. First you lie and then post fake news. Why are you even here

Your opinion piece begins with the false premise of the state controlling the economy. Sanders has been clear about this, read what HE says in his platform and NOT what FOX tells you he says.

That was my personal opinion about Big government. That was pre-Trump (aka Obama).

You’re suggesting that under Obama the state controlled the economy?

Obama sure did his best to control the economy, especially the Auto industry. He tried to wipe out some energy Industries and then taxpayer fund other ones. If he had more authority to control more of the economy he darn sure would have. As usual your posts continue to be dishonest

Democratic socialism is a neat philosophy that means what the person claiming to be one wants.

It would seem the democratic socialists want to build up socialism within the main structure of capitalism and because of this they argue for introducing reforms. They believe that if reforms are successfully implemented they can produce the results which revolutionary socialism promises to bring forth.
The end results seem to be the same, socialism that they want us to vote for which when people vote for the AOC or BS type people it’s exactly what thy want.

Revolution by way of voting.

But why just finger Obama?

George W. Bush rode into Washington almost eight years ago astride the horse of smaller government. He will leave it this winter having overseen the biggest federal budget expansion since Franklin Delano Roosevelt seven decades ago.

Yep! They were both part of the Deep State. There is no question that Trump places little value in democracy, human rights, the rule of law, or other classic liberal values, and he seems to have a particular disregard for America’s democratic partners and a soft spot for autocrats. But it is a mistake to see him as the sole—or even the most important—cause of the travails now convulsing the U.S.-led order. Indeed, the seeds of our present troubles were sown long before Trump entered the political arena, and are in good part due to foreign-policy decisions made by the administrations of former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.

Don’t have to watch Fox News to know Sanders is a self admitted socialist and the fact you try to lump everyone here who calls Bernie for what he truthfully says, by watching Fox News pretty much reveals your ignorance to make such assumptions! There is plenty of sources including his own declaration that he is a socialist out there to prove that as a fact! So why do you continually peddle out garbage lies on a daily basis here? Are you really that misinformed and clueless or are you purposely trying to see how many people on this forum view you as a foolish jester on this forum?

I wouldn’t take issue with any of that…

Maybe because he ran up more debt than all of presidents combined, and was the most socialist of all other presidents.

You equate raising the debt to enlarging the government?

Just recently, President Trump responded to a question about the Democrats delaying appointments to some unfilled positions by saying that we don’t really need them filled.

He does not favor “bigger” government.

His doing away with a lot of unnecessary regulations has likely reduced the need for regulators.

In the very scheme of things, there really is no Socialism. I remember the Russian bread lines, and I remember the Russians who drove by the bread lines in luxury vehicles. Fair & equal shares for all, my fucking ass. I guess some sort of Socialism may exist in some monasteries.

And some voluntary communes. This is the thing to remember: our system allows socialism already. But few choose to give the fruits of their labor to others beyond a normal tithing level of charity.

Socialism must be forced upon people. Almost no one joins a socialistic society voluntarily.
