I am not talking about evidence, only how a prosecution builds a case by using optics and scenarios to lead to further questions. Its how they present their cases. You are right though, the fact that the dispatch call is not something that he could have been convicted on based on disobeying a order from LEO which in most cases is a violation depending on the circumstances involving LEO’s, which was again not what I was arguing, only that the optics in public perception narrative painted a negative for him both in the media and in oral arguments when the case was tried. All this is moot anyway because he was found not guilty, had there been a guilty plea, I am sure we would be having a different conversation on this very topic.

Yeah that NBC lawsuit and its dismissal really pissed me off. Clearly he had a strong case in that one, and not sure how the hell the judge was able to outright dismiss it. I suspect there was something more sinister gong on behind the scenes where bribery or quid pro quo was being worked over to get the case thrown out.

As contentious as this case is I think it’s important to always make sure we get the details right. Obviously the whining dem’s are either lying out of their asses or completely ignorant of the facts.

No matter WHAT he was told when Martin reached the point that he could go home or turn back and he chose to go back everything was on Martin.
There was not one encounter that night but two. The first saw Zimmerman looking for a kid in the neighborhood that seemed suspicious to him, it would have been a nothing sauce except for the second. The second saw Martin choosing to return to said neighborhood to confront and attack someone he may have thought had disrespected him.
Being disrespected is a piss poor reason to attack a stranger. It’s an even poorer cause to end up dead.
Maybe, hopefully I can clear up this disagreement. The emphasis on what was said versus how it was heard.

All would seem to sound a bit different. One is asking GZ not to follow TM, another does seem to be a command to not follow, another seems to say his following TM is unnecessary.
So there is ambiguity in this statement, even if it was stated by the dispatcher as a command, if GZ heard it in one of the other tones of voice.

Shows how much you know about 911 dispatch operations. When you dial 911 or the non-emergency line It goes to the same place and the call is triaged by the very same people. Try again.
