They already have all the gadgets. The level of deafness displayed is directly proportional to the number of electronic gadgets they have. Kill switches are useful. 
It’s really interesting though to see - you give them a PC each, loaded with just Windows and a browser (plus obviously parental controls) and see how they personalise it. I found the younger one designing houses using CAD.

The solution is so easy: Shut the freaking door. End of the story.
Also, for immigrants who cannot prove residence or citizenship over X number of generations, ask them to leave (in exchange for cash or whatever).
