Today the doorbell rang. Acting the part I opened the door and said "who is there? …oh it is my grandchildren ! "
My grandson who is nearly 3 turned around and said “Dad, that is your Dad”.

When my younger one was 4, she asked some questions about Santa. “How can he be at lots of places at the same time?” We would see Santa’s grotto at garden centres, shopping centres, everywhere. I said nothing. “Why does Santa look different at different places?” “Why are some Santas fatter than others?” I said nothing. Then it was, “Father Christmas is just an old man dressed up.” Again, I said nothing. She concluded he was a fraud.
The previous year, as with other previous years, we did do Santa’s grotto. Santa was crap. He didn’t know what to say to the kids. The presents were cheap tat. So that year I asked the kids if they wanted to see Santa… or would they rather have the money, which was the cost of seeing Santa and buy something for themselves? They took the money.
Now the younger one is 8 and is on gold star at ski school (ESF). That is the top children’s level and she can out ski most adults on the slopes, including some army who were training out there, lol. The older one is 11 and is doing competition slalom. By the way we all got back intact. After Christmas I will put together a video for Youtube.

Why do Apple /Samsung/ Garmin etc not do GPS tracker watches for kids? I have bought tracker watches for the last few years and have had to buy some obscure Chinese crap from Amazon. It’s like they don’t want us to track our kids. Seems sinister.

Be careful what you wish for. If hackers can into your home surveillance cameras and talk to your children, they can certainly get into your tracker and see where they are.
You might be better off with a Doberman trained to escort and protect them.

Specifically for use when they go off into the mountains with ski school. Otherwise, they don’t go around on their own.
