The Rabbit Hole

My analysis of charts moving left to right has proven not to be very accurate / nor lucrative so I will decline to predict

I will say though: if you take away the insignificant factors, namely neandathals, homo sapiens and modern day humans and ask this rock we have named ā€œearthā€ whether it gives a shit about a little warming or cooling I think I know the answer.
If you then look to the universe and consider whether it is affected by some spec of dust that we have labelled ā€œearthā€ warming or cooling, I think I know that answer too.

There is an interesting concept in Eastern medicine: macro = micro

meaning, what takes place in a microscopic spot such as our world on this tiny planet represents the entire galaxy or something even bigger.

My understanding is that we, Homo sapiens sapiens, were placed here as an experiment for those upstairs to see if we are worth their salt or a total waste.

So far the experiment didnā€™t go well, especially in the 20th century with its violence, destruction and massive deceits, but something shifted toward the end of the century and early this century, and some kind of awakening is happening, which may help us pull through after all.

That is a bit philosophical for my binary brain to endulge Didge.
I have for much of my life smirked at the stupidity of mankind especially when it comes to a human person in the singular.
If you observe an individual, mostly we delude ourselves that we actually have some importance at some level, some relevance of our lifes existence. In reality we are totally insignificant but as humans we donā€™t want to accept that, so dramatic stories are created for us and by us to give us some relevance to wake up tomorrow.
Sorry to be a doom master but we simply donā€™t matter and all of the human created scriptures ever written or yet to be written will not change that reality.

It is however lovely weather where I am so therefore I shall enjoy this day for what it is. Just another day :relaxed:

None so much as the current US president who is now telling us that he wants people in his administration to ā€œbuild the wallā€ regardless of what they have to do to make it happen, if itā€™s illegal, heā€™ll pardon them.

Character doesnā€™t matter anymore, thatā€™s so passeā€™, both sides of the pondā€¦

Weirdly every human does it which is my point.
You and I are doing it now by voicing our opinion or our interpretation of someone or something external to us.
We conclude that the external thing we donā€™t agree with is wrong because ā€œwe do not agree with itā€. And yet the person actioning it believes it is right.
We could try to qualify levels of how much we delude ourselves from person to person but it is simply subjective and even if it was able to be qualified on an accurate scale it would just continue the delusion :rofl:
I am simply saying us humans are pretty stupid creatures simply because of human programming.

However, Boris has managed to get the Queen to prorogue Parliament! Heā€™s one step ahead of the EU and Remainers. Heā€™s a genius! Watch them all cack themselves now!

:joy: Thatā€™s how I feel too. Itā€™s great to be able to sleep well not trying to figure out the origins of the Universe.

I just saw this on the news and had to watch to see what it actually means  thatā€™s how useless I am when it comes to politics and most other topics come to think of it

There is a story of a Zen student, asking his master for advice, saying he is not sure if he is really a human-being or a butterfly in sleep dreaming while being intoxicated on the nectar of a flower.

Probably the master slapped his cheek hard and told him to wake the fuck up. LOL

Like the macro is the micro, and the micro is the macro, as above so below, as below so above, the human experience is an experiment from upstairs and we volunteered to participate.
Karma, maybe.

Life is a school and its quality will never change, because new students enter every year, while old resident students who have learned a thing or two can graduate (and move on to a higher institution, less violent and less materialistic)

Sorry Didge, that is complete mumbo jumbo to me.

Or we are simply another living creature that through serendipity has arrived at where we are today and we will each live out some time in our environment (namely on earth) and then simply die.

Obviously I realize this doesnā€™t flow as nicely as the quote from the meme but I must stick with it for now until I am enlightened by some real evidence

Edit: I had a friend and work colleague who constantly searched for a spiritual meaning to his life and studied the teachings of the Maharishi and other enlightened teachers. His learning made him believe there were many lifetimes for humans and that the next of his lives would be much more rewarding than this one. I often told him if he decided to depart from this life early and wanted to talk specifically about ending his life to let me know.
Well the selfish f*cker didnā€™t turn up for work one morning and the police found him in his car with the engine still running and a hose from the exhaust pipe.
He had a huge funeral with many mourners, some of whom questioned why I hadnā€™t gone. I dinā€™t waste my time explaining to them why David had gone to a better place but still today I hope for his sake there really is more to life than we know.

Magog is going to love having you hereā€¦

ā€¦and the worst of it is that when the next freeze begins, and the global CO2 emissions have been cut by a third (or whatever), the man-made-climate-change freaks will stand up and say ā€œwe told you soā€.

I like climate change. It gives us four seasons. Summer now.

The average temperature difference between the Glacial and Interglacial periods are mere 5 degrees C, or 9-10 degrees Fahrenheit.

So itā€™s not huge but the snow that falls in North America will not melt entirely in the summer, as a result of which places like New York will eventually be covered by a thick ice sheet a few thousand meters high.

This heavy ice sheet in the past hardened the soil, which permitted the construction of skyscrapers in the Apple from early 20th century.

If that kind of shit happens in North America and Tibetan Plateau, what will happen to the seas?

Exact opposite of what the global warming alarmists claim. The sea level will drop, and the continental shelves will be the new coastlines.
Yea! We get new land. But I wouldnā€™t rush to buy real estate there.

At the edge of the continental shelves will be vertical drops higher than Mt Everest. (You donā€™t want to lean over and take a look down, given there will be very windy days)

Hmmmm, ok, I think I get your point.
