A little funny detail being overlook by the Chinese and their hollow little sabre rattling, is if they ever attack us, we have a weapon that can turn most of those Islands into ash in less than an hour!

Good point! Also we have been building a broader coalition with Vietnam, The Philippines, Japan, Taiwan (although that is with an asterisk, because there is the issue with reunification with China looming in the future) and Australia that will serve as a choke hold to China.
