The deal wouldnât be nearly as terrible except for the backstop, I always expected some compromise, but the backstop provisions are just ridiculous.

Iâm actually OK about an implementation period of a year or two, but we need to be out of the EU before the next general election, otherwise we risk a new government just putting the brakes on. I am worried about the prospect of no Brexit at all, and Iâm worried about a potential second referendum.
