I gave you a ‘like’, but that is really the wrong sentiment…

Perhaps a moment of silence is in order, or laughter and cheering.

Nothing quite like a troll hanging about.

I’m gutted. I’ve never had a leftie friend. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::rofl:

This is what karma means

Today I found myself defending Tommy Robinson !
While in a training course … who would have thought.

The charge, TR is right wing.
Noo, said I, TR just brought to public awareness some things that happened in his town.

The accuser was a little taken aback
The course lead quickly asserted that TR’s efforts are localised
…I left it at that since it wasn’t really the right forum

I saw this in our top Socialist rag. What do you Yanks have to say about it?

I say its typical leftist bullshit, Do I believe they overspend on the military? yes I do, building F 35’s in multiple states is not only stupid but a waste of resources but I see how those states got those contracts.

I think there is a lot of waste in the Military that needs to be addressed, yes, but to say it cuts off funding the poor, education, medicaid and food stamps, they should be cut, as there is a lot of fraud going on

Since LBJ kicked off the war on poverty in the mid 60’s what has happened? trillions of dollars have been spent, and you still have problems in the inner cities, what makes them think throwing more money on the problem is going to solve the problem

You want to help the poor? stop enabling them
Cut out the massive bureaucracy when it comes to Welfare or other social services, focus on illegal immigration by targeting businesses who hires these folks.

Abolish Sanctuary cities and maybe for once tackle domestic homelessness vs sending aid to every poor country, how about lets take care of our citizens first, and when we have that under control we can assist other countries

This Yank thinks it’s opinionated bullshit. Military preparedness and training does not equate to war. When war breaks out, there is no budget…it’s either fight or die. When troops are not trained and well equipped, they will lose the war.

Our military budgets have long been a huge piece of the pie. What is really a problem to me is that we spend so much money defending freedom in other countries that somehow manage to evade covering the costs of said defense.

When I see headlines like that especially in the biggest leftie publication I suspect it’s BS, but not knowing the facts, I need to ask. It is known for being provocative.

The article is labeled opinion. Though the numbers may be accurate, the opinions related to comparative values are bullshit.

Ronald Reagan caused the collapse of the Soviet Union by outspending them…militarily.

I think similar things about the UK’s foreign aid budget.

Not sure the Iraqis would agree(abt US defending freedom)
And last time I looked Europe was free and Russia hasn’t even threatened to invade.
Maduro certainly doesn’t agree, neither does Kim.
Yeah I suppose Israel needs defending but you already give them 40 bill a year anyway,

Ignore the source - look at the message.
Is it not immoral for the ‘‘leader’’ of the free world to spend more than 50% of it’s revenue trying to kill the rest of the free world?

We’re not trying to kill the rest of the world, you disingenuous conspiracy theorist. You should direct your hatred toward the goddamned radical Muslims, the goat fuckers that make women into slaves, fuck children, throw gays off rooftops, send their own children into schoolyards with suicide vests…

They have sworn to do what you stupidly say we do.

It was the star wars Initiative that push it over the top. Many forget the spending that took place to break the soviet union.
