Ukraine sought to align with Russia in 2014 and that was not acceptable to the US/EU which instigated and supported the overthrow of the democratically elected government installing a pro western government in its place.
The Azov battalion, which btw has now been absorbed into the Ukrainian National Guard, was responsible for the killings of protesters and police in Maiden, they are now allegedly blocking refugees from fleeing Mariupol on the safety corridors agreed to by Russia and Ukraine…
