The Case for Raising US Tariffs on China After March 1st!

Not a surprise. They did the same thing with solar panels.

Right! Lighthizer did mention that today too as an example of unfair practices in our trade issue with China.

One of the problems we face today is our issue are inter related.

For example.
Immigration affects wages, taxes, welfare, how people interact, the standard of living, our entry level workers, healthcare, our education system, etc. Tariffs affect wages, taxes, consumption of goods, food we consume and the amounts, the number of jobs shipped over seas, the standard of living, minimum wage.

What people fail to realize is you cannot just fix one thing without addressing other issues. Raising the minimum wage, a band aid at best when you don’t address free trade agreements which shifts manufacturing and jobs over seas. You can’t fix the minimum wage unless you stabilize the workforce which means addressing illegal immigration and asylum.

Healthcare is a joke as government intervention raises the cost of healthcare as well as illegals immigration, the workforce, the over weight/obesity problem in the US. Free trade affects our healthcare brining cheaper goods into the country freeing up money to buy MORE including food to fill the face.

Free trade is a fallacy as every country seeks to protect an industry, every country attempts to manipulate the market and tariffs are the standard answer.

Can tariffs fix a segment? Not unless you’re willing to address numerous problems.
