Holy moly! When I read this story I am not sure what to feel; either sorry for Spielberg or disgusted that he is OK with his daughter now deciding to pursue a career in the porn industry. In my mind if a father’s daughter is deciding on such degeneracy as a career decision then ultimately he failed as a father and his daughters decision is more or less a statement in order to get back at him for his failures as a father despite what this article is trying to paint this as; a daughters wish to be financially independent from her wealthy parents. Yeah right! (Sarcasm)
Have to say, when reading such stories as these, its pretty sad to think how far we have fallen as a society.

Well just as some here had suggested Spielberg’s daughter has got some issues at home.
The way she has announced this combined with her mental health issues tells me there is more to this story than we may first think.
I suspect its not the first time she has tried to shock her parents which perhaps explains their “intrigue” over it.
There is a hell of a lot of wrong with the porn industry but interestingly enough you will also find a lot of women who are educated and not exploited. They state they are involved in porn because for them it is a legitimate choice. No idea if that is true or not.
A fascinating book which talks about the porn industry is I Am Jennie. Jennie Ketchum was the porn star Penny Flame who went on to a reality tv show just to further her own porn career. However it ended up being a revelation for her and She started to take it seriously which resulted in her leaving porn and getting help for a variety of issues.
I really can’t answer any of the points you raised about how certain women in the porn industry view their decisions to make it a career choice, or about his daughter’s mental issues, however given what I know of celebrities who work in the film industry there is a high rate of failed marriages and infidelities that has been prevalent in its culture for quite some time. My first impression when reading this story and of course I could be wrong here is people of Spielberg’s professional stature tend to not be home a lot or possess the personality type that is emotionally available to their children due to being married to their profession. When that happens, such offspring tend to also develop with emotional issues that leads to questionable decisions as an adult. We see this sort of thing all the time with celebrity children. Like I said I could be wrong in my assessment but this was my Guess as a first impression after reading this story.
Men who defend access to or participation in porn are never going to remove the stink of presumed romantic failure from themselves.
As far as Steven Spielberg and his family are concerned…this couldn’t have happened to nicer people. I wish his deranged and degenerate daughter all the best and him nothing but embarrassment and shame (which probably won’t happen because he likely molested her anyway - look at the stats).
If you think women (and men) who go into porn are somehow products of a liberal household and upbringing you are wrong.
I have a relative that owned and operated a porn site that was incredibly lucrative so have some (albeit limited insight) into this.
Everyone looks at or has looked at porn but it worries me greatly that we have a generation of children growing up thinking that somehow porn is a realistic view of a relationship. I have read about a number of female porn stars who try to educate teens that its all fantasy and is not reflective of how a man or a woman should approach a relationship.
Rather than being supportive, they should be guiding her in a different direction. She is only going to become more unstable as a result of her choices.
I guess the Spielbergs’s are just kicking the can down the road to the inevitable. Perhaps there is too much effort involved in parenting for them.
As I said before I suspect they are used to her outlandish antics which is why they dont seem to be making a fuss. We have no idea what they are doing behind closed doors. She obviously has issues.
Look at her social media posts she is trying to turn this into a drama so instead of feeding into that they may very well be dealing with this in private.
I don’t know them or what their family dynamic is but really this is pretty common from leftwing/progressive/liberals.
They want to be their kids friends rather than enforcers and of course raising free ranging kids started getting pretty popular around the turn of the century with that crowd.
I’ve seen it work out in a few cases but generally it ends up a disaster.
