Rockets hit US embassy in Baghdad amid protests

@cerberus, One of Trump’s campaign promises was to get us out of the ME. Presented with the opportunity he won’t even do so. Now he’s threatening another country with sanctions…

I think I’ve mentioned here before - it’s the main reason I was rooting for him in the presidential election.

Unlike you and Cerberus, President Trump recognizes the POLITICAL REALITIES of the ME. You two would rather have Iran and or their proxies EXTORT major countries with control of Iraqs oil fields. Dealing with Iraqs political and military incompetence is President Trump’s bid headache.

He and I just happen to be honest with facts that have been presented and are now common knowledge. From the UN, several conservative think tanks like CATO, Rand, Heritage, the CFR and others, papers have been produced documenting the facts behind the US led WOT. All agree that the US led WOT has caused an increase in Islamic extremism, an increase in global terrorism, a RECORD number of refugees that are flooding into other countries, all of which has made the world LESS SAFE!!!

Now Trump promised to end all that. But like his predecessors he’s falling prey to the same old insanity of continuation and escalation.

You can stand there and bang your head against that stone wall all you wish, but I will continue to point to the reality of its folly…

Keep poking a tiger and it’ll eventually turn around and bite your ass. Why the hell does the West not get that??

You do realize tigers are on the verge of extinction don’t you?

They only thing we’ve really done wrong in the ME is not approaching the Islamists with Total War Commitment.

Last time the west ignored them they conquered about 2/3 of the known world murdering and enslaving a good chunk of humanity.

Every few centuries the west needs to just simply go full “Old Testament” on them to keep them unable to threaten us further.

Just leave them alone ffs, because they have a right to live how they want to live the same as we do. But if they interfere in any way with us, then go in fast and hit them so hard that they’ll never make the same mistake again. After all let’s face it - our own societies aren’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination?

Contrary to the preposterous arrogance of the West, we don’t know what’s best for them; and that’s why we keep getting into trouble in the Middle East - it’s because we keep removing their dictators. FFS will we never learn??

I don’t even care what’s “best for them”, I only care about our interests.

We can’t achieve that by ignoring them or “leaving them alone”.

Take a look outside your door and you’ll see The New Caliphate growing right around you.

Well then why didn’t we leave Assad and the Russians to nip it in the bud nearly 2 decades ago? They were doing alright until we poked in to ‘help the civilians’.

Bullshit, all Assad was trying to do was not get run out of his own country. He’s aligned with the Iranians just as his dad was and therefore is a huge part of the problem.

ISIS was never the biggest threat, just the immediate threat.

The New Caliphate is the global spread of Islam. Instead of taking over the west by the sword, this time around they are being welcomed in by your “liberal gov’ts” as some sort of reparations for colonialism.

I’ve had enough of this. I’m now going to look for the post from earlier how to set up and ignore facility and put you on it.

“Ignorance is bliss”, go for it.
