Retribution Has Begun: Iran attacks US bases in Iraq

Most of the primitives in the UK are there ( to a point ) legally ( within the frame of British law ). We have that, & also millions of illegals that slink in at our southern border. Every single day, legal American citizens are killed or injured by illegal aliens. Our liberal answer is, disarm law abiding legal citizens. We live in a bizzaro world. Two of many many lists; and the deaths of all these innocent humans could have been prevented. 1. ## Victims of Illegal Aliens Memorial - OJJPAC.org

So Jim, to the OP. We’re learning this morning that officials at the The White House are saying they are increasingly thinking that Iran intentionally missed US troops in their missile strikes. :flushed:

What astonishes me is that they are just seeing what was so apparent immediately. Iran clearly and repeatedly said in the hours following the assassination of their general that their response would be proportional and measured. Iran showed that they have the ability to launch guided missiles, deep inside of iraq, drop them on the military base responsible for the attack on them, and right next to US troops without actually killing any. It’s a successful shot across the bow.

Well, we have the ability to vaporizes all their major cities, military installations, and nuclear research facilities. Maybe we should simply eliminate anything to do with oil, for starters. Iran has 40 producing fields – 27 onshore and 13 offshore. Probably take em out in two or three hours. Half a day at best.

More like outrage from the wicked LEFT and the “squad” .

WTF ? SMH …
The Shahab (“Shooting Star”)-1 missile is based on the Scud-B; the Nuclear Threat Initiative estimates Iran maintains an inventory of two to three hundred missiles. The liquid-fueled Shahab-1 can loft a two-thousand-pound high-explosive or chemical warhead up to 186 miles, but like the original Scud-B , its accuracy is lacking. Just half of the warheads from a Shahab-1 would land within a half mile of the target—the rest landing even farther away.

Nodong-1/Shahab-3 offers greater range than previous missiles, it is miserably inaccurate , with half of warheads expected to fall within 1.5 miles of the target and the other half even farther away. The first Iranian test of the Shahab-3 was in 1998, and the missile was declared operational in 2003.

The Shahab-3 has spawned at least one variant, the Ghadr-1, which has a slightly shorter range but is reportedly much more accurate, to within six hundred feet .

Well that’s not going to happen. So about reality.

Trump says Iran appears to be standing down.
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Ok, whatever the White House has to do/say to save face is fine with me if it avoids unnecessary and gratuitous war with Iran. Iran got the last word, they sent their message, a precision strike on our military installation in a measured way that doesn’t escalate things, but makes clear that they aren’t A-Stan, Iraq, Libya or Syria.

All is well.

Yet another lie. You folks are nauseating.

I think we’re all well aware of the US capability with respect to nukes.

There is however no possibility we would use them unless Iran first uses WMD’s in a major attack.

We’re the most disciplined country on earth when it comes to restraint or we’d have used them repeatedly since WWII.

It’s becoming clearer and clearer to me that the Soleimani assassination was an escalation in Trump’s war against the Deep State. Whether Soleimani was killed by Trump or by Deep State is not clear. Iran is only incidentally involved. The people who run Iran seem to understand this. The missile attacks on US bases was a charade. The real retaliation was in shooting down the jet plane on its way to Ukraine, which was a blow against Deep State as it was probably packed full of Iranian traitors.

Genuinely interested in your thought processes, as I was under the impression that Soleimani was someone that the Israelis wanted gone. So why would this be part of a Trump war against the deep state?

They had a very high failure rate with a quarter of them failing completely and one complete miss.

There were zero direct hits on any identifiable worthwhile target.

All they’ve proven is that their CM’s are not reliable and that those that do make it to target probably cannot hit a point target.

That means they are little more accurate than their Katusha Rockets but with much greater range. Hence they’d have to send many salvos of them to even have a high probability of a single hit on a point target.

Well why pray tell was Trump so quick to thump his chest bragging and taking credit for it then…?

What exactly is unclear about it? Trump seemed rightfully proud to claim credit for the strike and did so almost immediately.

Soleimani was one of the key negotiators for the secret protocols of the Iranian Nuclear Deal, which were mainly about how to carve up the $150 billion that was involved. Since Soleimani was intimately involved, he obviously knows where all the bodies are buried which could be very bad for all the other players involved who personally profited to the tune of up to $100 billion–Clinton, Brennan, Rice, Kerry, etc etc etc. Since this would be treason on its face, that would be information that those people would do anything to prevent getting out.

It’s not clear how Israel and Mossad fit in here. Given that Iran has had nuclear weapons for over a decade, if not longer, the idea that the Israelis are trying to stop that from happening is a public relations charade. Most likely Israel’s motivation is to create as much chaos in the region as possible which means they are a true wild card.

I suppose if you accept everything at face value for exactly what it is there isn’t much to talk about.

I don’t fabricate conspiracies when the facts seem pretty clear.

He said a response would soon be forthcoming, the response happened, and he took credit for it.

So what’s the point in imagining boogeymen when there’s nothing to hide?

Well sure, that’s a very basic given. But how you arrive at the possibility that Trump is running cover for Brennan, Kerry, Obama et al is odd to me.

Ok, never mind, I now see your problem and your motivation.

Or, regarding Israel, it could simply be that they saw Soleimani as a man that they needed to take out for his role in consolidating Iranian power across the region and his ability as a great military and popular leader.

But, as you say, it could be a Deep State thing, although intersection may also be possible. Interesting thoughts!

Seems mostly everyone questions the role of Israel in this except you.
