That isn’t the point. Trump should be working to reduce gun regulations and restrictions not add to them.
I really don’t think that Trump has the passion for the 2A as many think he does. I think he’s not a big gun advocate, indifferent at least.

I hate to sound jaded about it but everyone knows that Ivanka hates guns, so even if Trump is supportive of guns all it takes is Ivanka whispering in his ear after any mass shooting and out come the regulations.

If Trump were to lose his support from groups like the NRA, GOA, and 2nd Amendment Foundation he couldn’t win a primary in his own backyard much less at the national level.
