FIRST ON FOX: A group of President Donald Trump’s House GOP allies is leading a bill that would enshrine the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its efficiency efforts in federal law, giving it some protection from various legal challenges over the next year and a half.
“This creates a reporting structure that allows what DOGE is doing with the Cabinet to be relayed to Congress, which is our Article I authorities, which is really the idea of being good stewards of taxpayer funding,” Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., who is leading the bill, told Fox News Digital in an interview.
The legislation more generally codifies Trump’s executive order directing Cabinet secretaries and heads of other executive offices to coordinate with DOGE on various government efficiency plans.
Another genius move by President Trump. Make DOGE the law of the Land. Our entire government from national to local and school districts should be required to have performance audits and DOGE reviews.
I agree with this, but where are the ACTUAL audits? They are just going in and cutting what they don’t like. That’s not a smart way of reducing government.
Governments always grow like human hair on the head. That’s their nature.
That’s why you need a haircut on a regular basis.
You can close 1 in 10 goverrnment departments or fire 10% of government employees at any moment. It makes no difference in efficiency, while it saves a lot of money
If you don’t like the methods being employed then I suggest winning elections! That means making a convincing argument that we should vote for your candidate and so far you are doing a piss poor job of doing that!
I voted for Trump expecting strong immigration enforcement and lower taxes. I have seen neither.

Elon is doing a performance audit to assess if the specific programs are working as intended to achieve the stated goal . We want to keep costs LOW and get the most out of the resources . This promotes accountability and transparency . This is a means of assuring the compliance with legislation , policies , processes , etc
