The difference is the so called speed train that was suppose to be built in California has never actually been realized as opposed to Hyperloop, which BTW is not a train, was actually a functioning project that eventually went bankrupt and it was not due to Elon Musk ineptness or grifting as you like to claim on false pretenses as expressed hyperbole.
