I personally witnessed the tragedy in Palestine.
An old Palestinian man who worked for an Israeli owned farm bitterly said that the place was his.
He ran from it a few miles (temporarily) for the safety of his family when there was a war and he heard that ■■■■ were massacring Palestinians.
When the war ended, he and his family were suddenly in a different country (Jordan) and were not allowed to return to his own farm. Only after Israel militarily conquered more land, they could return, only to work in the farm which was in somebody else’s possession.
And it is still happening
