The CDC is now saying that the Coronavirus tests didn’t work right…and that people who tested negative, and were released from quarantine, might actually be positive and spreading the disease as we speak.
Some of the coronavirus testing kits sent to state laboratories around the country have flaws and do not work properly, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Wednesday. Past tests administered to patients suspected to be infected with coronavirus may have erroneously come back negative due to the flaw and the C.D.C. recommends local health departments country-wide to retest any patient who previously tested negative for coronavirus.
The kits were meant to enable states to conduct their own testing and have results faster than they would by shipping samples to the C.D.C. in Atlanta. But the failure of the kits means that states that encountered problems with the test should not use it, and would still have to depend on the C.D.C.’s central lab, which could cause several days’ delay in getting results.
“Obviously, a state wouldn’t want to be doing this test and using it to make clinical decisions if it isn’t working as well, as perfectly, at the state as it is at C.D.C.,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said at a news conference on Wednesday.
The C.D.C. recommends testing for some people who have symptoms like fever, cough or shortness of breath, and who, within the past 14 days, have traveled to China or have been in close contact with a patient known to be infected with the coronavirus. Doctors with patients in that category are supposed to consult their state health department about whether the patients should be tested for the virus.
The C.D.C. announced last week that it had begun shipping about 200 kits to laboratories in the United States and roughly 200 more to labs in more than 30 other countries. Each kit can test about 700 to 800 specimens from patients, the agency said. Kits were shipped to every state, but officials did not say how many of the kits were faulty.

In Buddhism, pestilence, and disease, and natural disaster, is the flip side of protective natural forces. It is based on the Law of cause and effect that is deeper than usual day to day mind can understand and refers to a reflection of the human life state. Attracting or Preventing natural disaster and disease.
Allegorically these natural protective functions of life, swear to punish or protect all beings, according to the causes beings make. In Japanese Buddhism, these are called “Shoten Zenjin.”
It must be understood as the natural law of cause and effect and not judgmental super beings wielding a moral authority. Humans tend to mistake what the real causes of things are.
It is as natural as burning your hand if you stick your hand in fire. People can be so arrogant, they do not seek correct faith and understanding, already thinking they are wise.
Because people lack deep, enlightened wisdom they misunderstand the principles of real religion and this is why the Buddhas (Jesus and others who are great Sages are included) have to use allegory and parables. This is similar to talking to children and teaching in an expedient way.
Regardless of faith, it is a rinse and repeat cycle.
Mother Nature will eventually outsmart arrogance and the belief of false wisdom that comes with arrogance.

Of course, but pure faith (not dogma in the mind ) is a positive causation that is invisible but with visible effect.
Faith causes aspiration for awakening. All causes made by body, mind and mouth, is cause and effect itself, the objective reality.
“Antibiotic resistance” is an aspect of this law. Fertility of soil is another example of natural protective forces. It all is within and is mirrored in reality as it is. There is individual and group cause and effect. (karma)
These kinds of suffering from disease or disaster, cause being to aspire for awakening. Japanese Buddhism calls this “himyo hoben”, translated as the Secret, cosmic and expedient means (of the Buddha)
I’m not sure how you equate antibiotic resistance with faith.
If I have a bacterial infection and I am Rx’d 14 days but only take three then the bacteria can evolve and become resistant.
This is what has been happening for decades leading to ineffectual antibiotics.
Bacteria and viruses evolve to survive as does any organism.
What does faith or karma have to do with that?
Without getting a too lengthy explanation, it goes back to what I already said about causally attracting protective forces or instead attracting negative effect. With single minded faith people use the principle of cause and effect in a way that the forces of nature, become protective functions instead of negative “demon-like” functions.
As I said, these functions explained allegorically, in the Sutras, “VOW” To protect people and countries with faith and in the case of no faith, these functions are said to “leave”
Like the amazing balance of nature that allows a planet to support life with just the right amount of sunlight heat, water, soil, for survival and abundance—it all arises from inner faith in a way that is called a “Wonderful and Mystic” Law.
