We haven’t cut off all air travel yet but they’ve set up evaluation and quarantine centers at 22 airports where flights from Asia land in the US.
Once all of the Americans that can be are evacuated from China we may well see if nothing else a severe curtailing of flights from China and careful mandatory quarantine of them.

My guess is that the Trump administration will make the announcement today after the WHO press conference. The WHO press conference was supposed to be at 9:00 AM but was bumped to 2:00 PM - probably so they didn’t tank the markets at opening bell. The announcement will come at the close of the trading day.

Being cautious and using common sense is now racist in Canada.
This is peak lunacy. If thousands of Chinese people are flooding into your country from China where a Chinese virus is infecting and killing lots of people then it makes perfectly good sense to take as many precautions as possible when interacting with Chinese.
Reminds me of some of the bad Scifi from the forties and fifties where they were still guessing at what a space helmet would look like.
Where are thousands of Chinese fleeing to? I haven’t seen anything about a major exodus.
There have been tons of flights out of Wuhan since before the announcement was made about this virus. There are plenty of flights still leaving China and heading to Canada and plenty of other countries. Thousands of people from that region have certainly left and gone abroad.
Yeah, if you’re heavily invested in any companies doing a lot of business in China or manufacturing there probably a good time for a quick reallocation.
Whatever action Trump takes it’s going to be wrong. If he acts strongly he’ll be a racist, if he doesn’t he’ll be feckless and unable to make a decision.
Hell they’ll probably start another impeachment over it.
