How will this end?

The left advances their agenda, they believe that everyone needs to have all the things they know everyone should have from cradle to grave. If that sounds like using loaded rhetoric against them, the Times editorial board members say so, themselves: “To give Americans a fair chance in the race of life, government must begin from birth.”

In other words, you should and would be a ward of the State from the time you are born even before, since your birth mother will have been subsidized and guaranteed in various ways before you appeared.

We really would be in George Orwell’s “newspeak:” coercion is liberty; command and control is freedom; political paternalism is self-realization; government planning is free association; collective decision-making is personal choice.

Now repeat after me, “I love Big Brother, I love Big Brother, I love . . .” Oh wait! That probably should be “I love Sentient Being whose gender is indeterminate and changeable.” You have to update the language of the past to fit the political correctness of the present just as was Winston’s job in George Orwell’s novel, 1984 .

You’re correct on interstate commerce and that is a good point.

As far as federal monies being sent to their coffers, it should be denied. Maybe who people vote for should have consequences.

“Dreamers have contributed so much to our country, and they are risking their lives fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic,” he said on Twitter.

Says one of the worst presidents in the history of the United States. :joy:

I’d like to know how “they” meaning all are risking their lives.

We are ALL risking our lives everyday we go to work. There is absolutely nothing special about ‘Dreamers’ except that they need to start jumping through some hoops to prove they are worthy of permanent citizenship.

Cut them loose or at least make them shape up with a director not in bed with communists.

That isn’t going to happen. They are globalists and they simply need to be cut loose.

If America leads the charge, others will follow.

There are plenty of organizations that will do a better job than WHO which can be funded. When they get too big and bloated, they should be cut off as well.

I’m just sayin’…you know what I’m sayin’?

We should have listened to GWB in 2005…

And it does so, not with uninformed invective, but informed dispassionate evaluation.

Something is up! DACA is to be decided sometime this summer by SCOTUS and wondering what their play is being so close to elections.

I don’t doubt that Obubba may have offered the socialist bastard pallets of laundered foreign currency to bow out.

Obubba certainly knows how to bow.

Something is definitely up though! Why would he come out and support Biden, if there wasn’t another sinister agenda at play here? Then he is out publicly voicing his opinion on DACA? Seems too coincidental to me.

Do you know if Obama is ineligible to be Biden’s VP?

Here is the operative section of the twenty second amendment: (emphasis mine)

Note that each restriction applies to being elected to the office of President. Any successor to a sitting President by way of that President’s death, removal from office or inability to perform is not considered to have been elected to the office, but if that person acts as President for two years, he/she can be elected to the office only once more.

IMHO, the amendment is ambiguous and should have been worded, “No person shall be allowed to serve as President for more than two full terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”

I’ve seen several discussion site opinions in answer to your question and on each site the answers go both ways. I haven’t seen a definitive answer from a recognized constitutional scholar.

It is interesting that there are no term limits on Vice Presidents. One could serve indefinitely if chosen as the running mate of successive Presidents.

Exactly. Obama so he claims to be a constitutional scholar, (which BTW is motivated by nefarious intentions and not the garden variety type to which he would interpret its meanings verbatim; but instead redefine them in order to subvert it!), might be eyeing this obvious ambiguity in order to exploit it. If it were to happened, it would be the first time in US history that a presidential candidate choose a former President to be his VP running mate. Imagine what would dominate the news cycles 24/7 if that were to happen upon such an announcement?
