No evidence for anthropogenic climate change

And they still haven’t got a clue. Also when I was a kid we were being warned that an ice age was imminent and more recently Al Gore told us the ice at the poles would melt and there would be no more snow. I think he said that was going to happen by 2000 - well we are still waiting.
The pseudo science of climate change is a joke.

Ok, well that’s your opinion…

Wanting it is not misguided per se.
But blaming human activity for any increase IS.
And I will start listening to climate alarmists when ppl like Al Gore and our Royals set an example.

The warming is a whopping 0.8 degrees over the past 150 years, a warming that has tapered off to essentially nothing in the last decade and a half.

Even if 97% of climate scientists agreed with this, and even if they were right, it in no way, shape, or form would imply that we should restrict fossil fuels–which are crucial to the livelihood of billions.

You had me in agreement until the religious bashing. No need, irrelevant.

Projection? - MUCH? LOL
Give it a break Dr Manshe - your constant repetitive bitching is becoming a bit tedious.

Well, I’m not a climate scientist, are you? I don’t know personally whether or not human activity is contributing to a warmer climate. And of course we all know that the planet has had its many warming and cooling cycles long before there was human activity.

I don’t like the politicization of it all, and prefer to leave it out. We can all agree that setting in your automobile in a non ventilated room with the engine running will kill you. We all know that burning fossil fuels is dirty, and produces pollution particulates into the atmosphere, water and soil. We all know that they cause respiratory problems, at least. It should not be so controversial to advance measures that reduce or eliminate it.

Do the governments of the world cork the volcanoes too, since they produce way more CO2 emissions than all the cars and coal plants?

Actually it’s between us peasants and them trillionair bankers.

Absolutely correct. And yet nuclear (atomic) energy is much worse!

I’m in agreement.
Except politics run by professional politicians and hysterical mass media (aka fake news) makes humanity blind

Well that too, but it’s also between average Americans as witnessed here daily.

Pollution is not a new thing - the first clean air act was passed during the Roman era.

In 535AD, then Emperor Justinian I proclaimed the importance of clean air as a birthright. “By the law of nature these things are common to mankind—the air, running water, the sea.”

Didn’t realize who I was responding to. Not sure how these folks come off of ignore.

Come to think of it, Romans were very aware of air and water pollution.
Since they constructed elaborate water supply systems, the Romans used lead extensively in the aqueducts. One theory has it that it was lead poisoning that rendered Roman women infertile and reduced the Roman population. Thus the empire needed Germanic and other foreign mercenaries and laborers inside the empire.

At the same time, Romans were aware that certain ingredients in the water for their baths such as baths of Caracalla removed lead poisoning

Yes, pollution has been with humanity as long as the human existence on earth.

There was a reason I asked you how much CO2 we should eliminate - all of it maybe?

CO2 is Earth’s greatest airborne fertilizer. Without it - No Life On Earth!

More CO2 means:

  • More Plant Growth
  • Plants need less water
  • More food per acre
  • More robust habitats and ecosystems

That is why I said misguided.

Nice try, picking two words out of my lengthy post…

In context, what was the “it” I was referring to???

Particulate pollution that comes from burning fossil fuel.

Particulate matter (soot) emissions produce haze and can cause chronic bronchitis, aggravated asthma, and elevated occurrence of premature death. In 2010, it is estimated that fine particle pollution from US coal plants resulted in 13,200 deaths, 9,700 hospitalizations, and 20,000 heart attacks.

So how much CO2 should we get rid of?
That was the it I was referring to

Until these hypocrites give up their massive homes, private jets, private yacht vacations and worldwide press tours, I’m going to ignore their faux concern for the environment.

Laughing at yourself. That’s a new one…

@montecresto1
I knew you wouldn’t understand - way over your head.

Fermentation, the decay of vegetation, volcanos are among the sources of C02.

I’m talking about the reduction/elimination of C02 caused by burning fossil fuels, namely because of the other accompanying pollutants with it.
