No evidence for anthropogenic climate change

Taxpayer funded? …

Well no, I didn’t say that. :man_shrugging:

But we certainly are no longer dependent on ME oil.

November 2019, the United States became a net exporter of all oil products, including both refined petroleum products and crude oil .

Tax payers fund many things that return dividend in jobs, etc. Private industry should be investing in R&D as well.

I always said, there are better uses for coal & oil, than to use either for fuel; but it will take ( short of a miracle ) a looooooooooooooooooong time to replace either. My money is on hydrogen.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wishful thinking; but it would be just great if some geek at MIT ( or anywhere ), came up with a sound & efficient method for producing hydrogen in quantity, and just flooded the internet with the design. That would be a hoot.

Yeah, your suggested other uses for coal were of interest to me. Hydrogen I don’t know much about. I can only say that I want to see us move away from burning fossil fuel, it’s dirty and unhealthy for both humans and the planet generally.

Who is John Gault? …

What’s wrong with the known methods of producing hydrogen? There are established ways of producing hydrogen from coal, oil, natural gas and water.

Massive amounts are already produced from the first three. Producing it from water has fatal problems from many practical angles, a geek from MIT won’t erase those.

And the non-burning uses of coal are so small it’s just noise. What’s the fraction of coal used as an adsorbent to the total? I’m pretty sure that’s what you keep referring to.

It would have to be a system powered by hydrogen that produces hydrogen; but without diminishing returns. $100. worth of hydrogen that produces $50 worth of hydrogen won’t cut it; but still, if the proper cycle is developed, well. Technically, it’s still in it’s infancy, that being “large scale” production.

Actually, you said exactly that … “America has become oil independent”

What you’re describing is a perpetual motion machine. I’m sure that there are people out there welcoming investors. Just make sure that it’s money you can afford to lose, because this is one thing I’d put a 100% certainty on.

That’s one of his endearing trolling tactics. I don’t even bother to point that stuff out any more, I guess he thinks people can’t remember what he posted a few minutes ago. If they can’t, why bother? They won’t remember your post, either.

Yes, I said that America has become oil independent, now look at what HE SAID I said.

You too huh? Looks like you also need to go back and look at what I said, and then look at what YOU claimed I said. :man_shrugging:

One essential trait of people who live on propaganda, nowadays almost all liberals, is to be able to forget what was previously said and spout the current line as if it was always so.

You seem to have developed that skill down to the five-minute mark. Congratulations! That’s no easy feat, even for a liberal. It relieves the pressure from cognitive dissonance, but it also makes you look like a phony and a fool.

And YOU are lying. Not only did you falsely accuse me, its right back there in the post, you have personally insulted me because that’s the best you can do. Join the other ten on ignore.

Childhood stolen? - maybe not so much.

We’re dealing with a totally phony individual.
Problem is, people don’t know that.
