Oh yes. The DM was cruel about the 1s, but we stuck around because she was equally kind about the 20s. Was kind of a shame when she moved away after her husband was transferred in his job.

The teachings of Christ, morals and values is what happens in churches. Just as parent’s teach the same.
In a Christian church you’d be taught to pray for gay and transgendered people not to hate them.
So when did it finally take effect?

You don’t need to hate homosexuals to flatly oppose them in society on account of the perversions they engage in and their toxic influence on the culture.
Homosexual acts should have always remained unlawful.
There’s a webcomics called Goblins, the basic set up of which is its a world where even lowly city guards are aware of the game mechanics, player characters, and even nuances of which version of rules is used.
One of the main characters is a dwarven cleric who worships the DM and whose prayers are like: “Oh all powerful Herbert, he who kickith ass at World of Warcraft but can’t getith a date to save his ass, that adventure was too hard! Please stopith being a smartass and give us something a tad easier!”

It’s really very simple. It’s called Normalization. Normalization refers to social processes through which ideas and actions come to be seen as ‘normal’ and become taken-for-granted or ‘natural’ in everyday life. The more we see it the more normal it becomes.
