Mulvaney admits to quid pro quo

Mick unzipped his britches to the consternation of his boss and White House lawyers who went into immediate damage control. It was very shortly later that Mick walked it back tweeting a reversal of what he said so arrogantly in his presser.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

“Yeah, there was QPQ, get over it”…

Did you actually listen to the press conference?

Yes, why. Do you have something to say?

I watched it and he stated repeatedly there was no exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other. That only is true in the minds of the same folks who believe a man can become a woman and that we all only have 12 years to live unless we stop cows farting.

Even from across the ocean it was seen for EXACTLY what it was…

Asked whether the administration had told the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, that funding would not flow unless the investigation into the Democratic server happened as well, Mulvaney said: “We do – we do that all the time with foreign policy.”

They are still acting like Americans don’t have the internet and only read the headlines of newspapers or listen to what the news tells them. They keep forgetting about the internet.

They also forget about Obama telling everyone that elections have consequences - and that he would have more “flexibility” after his re-election, which was transmitted to Vladimir.

Mulvaney did not admit anything. This is fake news taking a comment in a conversation and broadcasting it without clarification to mean whatever pretzel logic they need to “prove” their lies.

Wrong, and the White House lawyers are fretting about it and Trumps pissed at him for this…

CNN is far from the only news agency that reported on Micks admission.

Then that only means CNN isn’t the only “news” outlet lying about it.

Again, this is a direct quote…:man_shrugging:

Define “that” and does “all the time” mean even the Democrats do it too?

“That” was defined in the question he was asked. Stop being obtuse.

And no, and if a democrat ever does, he/she should be subjected to the same litigation.

What all administrations do or have done with various countries is withhold security aid for human rights abuse, maybe illegally invading and occupying another country, or any number of things that harm either national or international interests.

But for a president to withhold American tax payers money, appropriated by Congress to persuade a foreign government to investigate a US citizen that’s running against you for office, UM NO, HELL NO.

Was that what President Trump was thinking when he made that statement? Were foreign aid funds flowing at the time he made the ‘threat’?
So, are you and your ilk claiming no Democrat may be investigated for corruption if they are a candidate for POTUS? If not, when would it be appropriate to investigate their corruption?
Is withholding foreign aid to a country unless they fire a prosecutor within 6 hours who is investigating them and their family for corruption, a crime?

Anyone can be investigated and prosecuted at any time in my opinion, sense your asking me.

The IMF, EU, the US, even people within Ukraine all wanted that corrupt prosecutor fired.

We were talking about Mulvaney’s statement, not Trump’s.
