I quoted your words exactly, quit lying.
The astronauts on the shuttle are not public property, their families deserved some privacy.

The astronauts on the shuttle are not public property, their families deserved some privacy.
You two seem to exist on a steady diet of bullshit and insanity.
All of which have long ago been answered.
Contrary to popular belief, the Van Allen Radiation belts didn't spell doom for Apollo astronauts.

Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin's answer to a question posed by a child was misrepresented as an admission that he didn't set foot on the moon.
There is a date that is in the head of any person when talking about the moon. That date is...

quit lying.
Look whoâs talking.
their families deserved some privacy
Sure, money will keep them quiet.
I donât lie, Aldrin never stated we didnât go to the moon.
Stop spamming us with lies.
Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin's answer to a question posed by a child was misrepresented as an admission that he didn't set foot on the moon.
Aldrin never stated we didnât go to the moon.
Ha?
Are you or am I smoking somethinâ funny?
I canât believe your statement.
Aldrin can lie all he wants to us dumb adults, but he hasnât got the guts to do so to an 8 year old kid.
That wasnât the question she asked.
This claim has been debunked every way it can be debunked.
That wasnât the question she asked.
Thatâs correct.
But Adrin inadvertently spilled the beans.
BS, he answered the question she asked.
We didnât go back because the mission was accomplished and money for the space program was cut dramatically.
No BS conspiracy needed.
We didnât go back because the mission was accomplished and money for the space program was cut dramatically.
Thatâs not what he said.
You didnât even spend a minute reading the debunking.
The video was heavily edited, it leaves out the actual question he was asked and his full answer.
Money. Itâs a good thing. If you want to buy new things, new rockets, instead of keep doing the same thing over and over, then itâs going to cost more money. And other things need more money too. So having achieved what the president wanted us to do ⌠and then what thousands, millions of people in America, and millions of people around the world ⌠You know when we toured around the world after we came back [from the moon] the most fascinating observation was signs that said âWE did it.â Not just us. But we, the world. They felt like they were part of what we were able to do . And that made us feel very good.
The full video.
Itâs a waste of 17 minutes if you want to watch the whole video.
The girl asked one crucial question and he replied. It took only one minute. Nothing edited. He gave a straight answer.
We just spent billions on the moon mission/ISS and what do we get for all that money - Fucking cookies
Unlike early space travelers, who had to consume mysterious powders, purees, and freeze-dried cubes, today's astronauts enjoy a variety of freeze-dried meals, snacks, and desserts that can be commonly found on Earth. ...
Youâre lying or you didnât watch it.
The video you posted is edited to make it sound like he said something he never said which is clearly shown in the full version.
She asked why we didnât go back, he gives a somewhat garbled and wavering answer but he sure as hell doesnât say we never went.
Hell heâs almost 90, a chronic alcoholic and has dementia so he isnât always articulate but your claim was an absolute lie and so is the video you posted.
No, you donât get the cookies.
If however you lived months or years without a cooked meal like they do, having fresh cookies would be a hell of a morale booster.
Just how much is it you think you have spent on the US space program? You donât even live here.
donât get the cookies.
So we send them up in space and they get so depressed they need cookies to cheer them up - are these the same snowflakes you are sending to fight the Iranians perhaps?
btw when I say ââweââ - that is the royal we(as in world) but someone with such a limited vocabulary(you) obviously wouldnât understand.
limited vocabulary
Haha, that sums up.
Pardon my ignorance, but is vocabulary something to eat?
Nobody but yourself suggested they are suffering depression.
Isolate yourself in orbit for a 9-18 months living in a glorified fishbowl with only a few others, working 12-18 hour days after years of training and prep for the mission following a grueling selection process where less than 1 in a thousand candidates makes it to launch.
See if things we take advantage in every day life donât suddenly have a mood elevating effect on you.
Then come tell us about your experience.
We never destroyed the technology, we just ceased going back because the public lost interest in moon exploration and with the end of The Apollo Program we had no more use for the Saturn V heavy lift vehicles.
Seriously, you people need to find better sources than conspiracists that make their living off of weak minds by fabricating idiotic, unsupportable conspiracy fantasies and peddling them to the willingly deluded.
By 1971, they started whittling down the army of people involved in the Apollo program. The Space Shuttle kept some of them employed, but by the 80âs only a fraction of the people who got us to the moon were still around, and they began retiring in waves.
You can have a mountain of reports and documentation of how and why they did what they did, but you lose the people and you lose the know-how. They also let big test facilities rust away from dis-use. Thatâs how the technology got âdestroyedâ
Believe it or donât Alex, I donât much care. I wonât waste my time trying to convince you. By the way, I agree that those who want to make colonies on Mars are wishful thinkers, at best.
