Market Traders Chewin' The Fat

Yep commercial banks Jim but giving each other the nod. If that club is the lion’s share of the market or close I would say they can definitely influence near term levels. Anyway we know it goes on but what I thought was laughable was the fine and nobody was “guilty” of anything. Effectively it’s like the regulator getting their cut out of the deal and no one goes to jail. No different than having a gang of bank robbers and having to add one more on the payroll, except when they are caught they generally do some serious porridge. Also 1 billion amongst that lot is nothing, it’s like a speeding ticket.

Some real porridge time and not in one of those Butlins type open prisons !:boxing_glove:

Back in the 80s, former senator John McCain (R.I.P.) pushed through Congress a Law which absolved the banksters from penal servitude just because they ‘fouled up big time’. …and that is why nobody went to jail after 2008.

I would say ‘only in America’, but it goes on everywhere. I can’t understand why Fred the Shred still has both kneecaps after the massive fuck-up with RBS and ABN Amro.

McCain a lousy senator and a even more lousy presidential candidate. A dem with a r behind his name. No use for the guy. He just paying off his campaign donors as do most of the pols.

Paperwork in the office today. Little screen time. 13.6 pips. Takes 16.4 to meet weekly profit projection.

Jim, for a minute there you had me thinking I was nuts. John McCain died in August last year.

Although … maybe I just haven’t realised that I am nuts…

Cable hits 1.26 … :scream:

edit:
My short on EU closed this morning :+1:

Ugh. Hopefully this damn month-long yen rally will finally be over and done with. May was a slight loss month for me because of that weekend gap, that translated into the eur/jpy being caught in proverbial quicksand for the rest of the month. Had some nice looks on the eur/usd, but my broker’s horrid swap rates basically rendered trades on that pair neutral at best. I think it’s time to start hunting for a new broker. Anyone have experience with FP Markets? They’ve been around for a while, and seem to have nothing but positive reviews. I’d like to go for Dukascopy, but need a bigger account to get the lower commissions.
