Once again ask the school that. They obviously thought there was a reason to investigate which they did. The kid is now back in school.

I don’t think a phone call to the police would be enough to clear up this mater . The school did their investigation and closed the case . Freedom isn’t free just look at the interment during the second world war . In perspective a couple of days off isn’t much of a sacrifice !
