No, I have no illusion that this remark is “profound.”
It merely reflects the confirmation of what I have seriously suspected–for almost two full months now.

Actually, character and personality were the topics (see post #169 in this thread, for more on this).
But if you wish to speak about morals, then, yes, Jimmy Carter had very good morals, I believe; yet I also consider him to have been among the worst presidents of my lifetime.
On the other hand, Bill Clinton was utterly amoral.
And that begs the question: Did you call for a resistance to Bill Clinton’s presidency, because of his amoral inclinations?
Carter’s choice for the Fed reserve and how cabinet was largely the cause for the recession and the massive interest rates of the times. Reagan’s administration kind of cleaned up the mess if I remember took about 2 years and was painful.
Well I’m happy to have confirmed it for you…
I’ve never mentioned personality. It’s morals and character that’s most important and Trump lacks both and it really comes out in the way that he treats people and talks to them, including in his own party, and own cabinet. Just look at the nasty way he’s treating the republicans in Georgia. But his base is silent about it.
I was a huge Clinton critic and believe he got away with murder, quite possibly literally. I couldn’t stand HRC either and did not vote for her in the 2016 election cycle and have made that point on this board repeatedly.
A couple of morons who can’t operate a popper properly! These idiots will usher in the early demise of America if allowed!
Yes, you appear to have been a part of the (aptly named) “Resistance” (which refused to cooperate with a Trump presidency since January 2017).
The media–and assorted leftists–already had Hillary Clinton handpicked as the new president; and when that did not actually occur, they simply threw a hissy fit…
No, I was not a part of the Hillary Clinton crowd. I dislike her close to the level that I dislike Trump, and didn’t vote for her. One of four candidate Trump promises that I actually looked forward to was him locking her up…but of course as he later told us, it was just campaign rhetoric to gin up votes…
I do, sincerely, give you credit for having a single standard, as concerning morals and character. That is as it should be.
President Trump has, indeed, spoken badly (and unnecessarily so, in my opinion), of the Georgia governor, Brian Kemp. I certainly would not wish to defend this.
As for the other Republicans of note in Georgia, however–I am thinking of David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, the incumbent senators–he does plan to campaign for them on January 5 (the day before the runoff election).
And President Trump is, certainly, lacking in both the Morals Department and the Character Department. No doubt about it.
Probably the reason that his “base” is silent about this is the fact that he is so consistently attacked by others–often, for no good reason–so many have jumped to his defense, reflexively. (This could also have something to do with the fact that many who attack President Trump also have a strong disdain for those of us who voted for him, in both 2016 and 2020.)
And although you may not have mentioned personality, I have previously done so; it is, therefore, a legitimate part of the discussion.
Again, I applaud your consistency.
